HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2901-1959RESOLUTION NO. 2901 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CONSENTING TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1959, a petition was presented to the City Council requesting consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings in con- nection with certain uninhabited territory therein referred to which is contiguous to the City of South San Francisco, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to consent to the commencement of said proceedings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that consent be, and hereby is, granted for the commencement of annexa- tion proceedings in connection with said uninhabited territory set forth in the petition of MARY JANEIRO and VIOLET FAY provided that - 1. Petitioners submit the proposed annexation to the Boundary Commission of San Marco County and request and obtain a report on the definiteness and Certain~y Of the bOundaries described. 2. That upon receipt of the report from the Boundaries Commission approving the boundaries, petitioners shall file a petition for annexation in the form prescribed by the City of South San Francisco and consent that property within the annexed terri- tory be taxed to pay the indebtedness or liability of City contracted prior to or exist- ing at the time of annexation on the same basis as any and all other land in said City. 3. That petitioners pay to City the sum determined for acquisition of a cap- acity ~terest in existing facilities, said sum to be determined by the regular formula established by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco. RESOLUTION NO. 2901 (CONTINUED): I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Counci! of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 16th day of November, 1959, by the following vote: AYES, NOES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G.
