HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2918-1959RESOLUTION NO. 2918 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS - INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. 2-C, ZONE 2 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City or'south San Francisco, California that WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 18th day of May, 1959, adopt its Reso- lution of Intention No. 2792 to order the construction of pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, storm drain pipes, catch basins and outl®t structure, sewer mains, manholes, cleanouts, fire alarm system, street signs, street barricades and appurtenances in said City, all as more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish once a week for two weeks in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and circu- lated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said City Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening bids. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to theorde~ of the City amounting to ten percent of the bid, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said City signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to admin- ister an oath, in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the City. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk of said City on or before 8:00 o'clock P.M. on the 4th day of January, 1960, said time being not less than fourteen days from the time of the first publication of said notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared on said day and hour. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro- duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 7th day of December, 1959, by the following vote: AYES, NOES, ABSENT, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G.
