A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE AUTHORIZED
AGENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO EXECUTE
AMENDMENT TO OLD-AGE, SURVIVORS, AND DISABILITY INSURANCE
AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco deems it to be in the best interest
of the C 'ty to execute an amendment to the Old-Age, SurVivors, and Disability Insurance
Agreement with the State of California executed on December. 10, 1959, to correctly
state the intent of the City to exclude elective legislative positions, effective
January 1, 1956.
~NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor, Authorized Agend of the City
of South 'San Francisco, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute the
said amendment to the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance Agreement, in the
form and content of the copy attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and by this reference in-
corporated herein.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco at a regUlar meeting held this 21st day of December, 1959, by the
following vote:

Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, Emilio Cortesi, Leo J. Ryan
and Patrick E. Ahern

AMENDMENT T~ OLD-AGE, SURVIVORS,
AND DISABILITY INSURANCE AGREEMENT
This amendment to agreement executed by and between the BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION
OF THE STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, hereinafter referred
to as the-"State', and the CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, hereinafter
referred to as the "City":

WHEREAS, the parties entered into an agreement approved on behalf of the State
of California on the 10th day of December 1959 providing for the inclusion of eligible
employees of the City of South San Francisco in the California State Social Security
Agreement, and
WHEREAS, the parties by mutual consent desire to amend said agreement between
the City and the State to exclude from coverage positions of the City as hereinafter
set forth:
Elective Legislative Positions
NOW. THEREFORE. it is mutually agreed as follows: That that Portion of the
January 1, 1956,
~NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor, Authorized Agend of the City

said amen~haent to the Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance Agreement, in the

AMENDMENT TO OLD-AGE, SURVIVORS,
AND DISABILITY INSURANCE AGREEMENT

NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed as follows: That that portion of the
first paragraph on page two (2) of the aforesaid agreement executed between the parties
hereto, which reads as follows:
No optional exclusions
hereby amended effective January 1, 1956, to read:
All services in any class or classes of
elective legislative positions
Except as herein amended, all ite~m and conditions of the aforesaid agreement
executed between the parties hereto shall remain unchanged and'in full force and effect.
