HomeMy WebLinkAboutRDA Minutes 1986-11-12 MINUTES THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REGULAR MEETING November 12, 1986 TIME: 7:00 p.m. PLACE: Community Room, Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive South San Francisco, California. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Roberta Cerri Teglia called the Redevelopment Agency meeting to order at 7:18 p.m. ROLL CALL: Present: Chair Roberta Cerri Teglia; Vice Chair Mark N. Addiego; Member Jack Drago; Member Gus Nicolopulos Absent: Member Richard A. Haffey Also Present: Executive Director C. Walter Birkelo; Deputy Executive Director Mark Lewis; Counsel Herman Fitzgerald ~ ENDA Executive Director Birkelo stated that there nothing to add ~ VIEW: except to point out that there is a closed session on the agenda for the Shearwater litigation. APPROVAL OF Vice Chairman Mark Addiego motioned, seconded by Member BILLS: Drago, that claims as submitted for payment in the amount of $20,806.10, for November 12, 1986, be approved. The motion as made and seconded was regularly carried. APPROVAL OF It was motioned by Vice Chairman Mark Addiego and seconded MINUTES: by Member Nicolopulos that the minutes of October 8, 1986 be approved. The motion as made and seconded was unanimously carried. 1-YEAR Deputy Executive Director Lewis informed the Board that the EXTENSION OF one year extension of the tentative map is requested, PARCEL MAP: subject to the conditions and findings that are based in the (HOMART staff report, to allow finalization of our discussions and DEVELOPMENT) negotiations with both the Homart Development Company and Warmington on the vacated right-of-way. Vice Chairman Mark Addiego motioned that the extension be granted subject to the conditions and findings of the staff report. The motion was seconded by Member Drago. ROLL CALL VOTE: Ayes: Chair Roberta Teglia, Vice Chair Mark Addiego, Member Jack Drago, Member Gus Nicolopulos. Member Haffey, absent. PROGRESS Executive Director Birkelo gave a brief report. He stated ---PORT: GATEWAY that the Project is scheduled for completion in mid TENSION December. The Project is moving along on schedule, OJECT: hopefully, to be completed somewhat before that time, if the weather holds out. At this point, it does not appear that the railroad installation of the crossing protection is going to be a problem, the contractor is finishing the intersection paving at Airport and Gateway today, hopefully, he will get his first layer of asphalt on the northerly section by the end of this week. Discussion ensued regarding this item. No action was required. CLOSED Closed session was called at 7:23 p.m. for the purpose of SESSION: litigation, specifically, the Shearwater Litigation. RECONVENE: The Redevelopment Agency meeting reconvened at 7:34 p.m. Chair Teglia stated that the Board gave some direction. No other action was taken. GOOD & WELFARE: Chair Teglia invited members of the public to speak on redevelopment related issues. No one spoke. ADJOURNMENT: It was motioned by Member Nicolopulos and seconded by Member Drago that the Redevelopment Agency Meeting be adjourned. The motion as made and seconded was unanimously carried.
