BE~,.IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City. of South San Francisco that the
Director of Public Works having filed a rePort of his recommendations on the application of
ARTHUR HASKINS for a grading per. it, the City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to
issue to ARTHUR HASKINS a grading per~it to grade the property described as a 2-1/2 acre
parcel bounded on the north by Colma Creek, on the east by Bayshore Highway, on the south
by Republic Steel property and on the west by the Person Swanson Property, formerly known
as C. A. Wellman property. Said grading permit shall provide that the grading be done
in accordance with the Amended Report and Recommendations of the Director of Public Works,
dated February 1, 1960t which is hereby referred to and by this reference made a par t
hereof, and in accordance with the grading plan submitted by Arthur Haskins showing proposed
fill grades and ditch grades marked on plan entitled, "Survey of Lands of C. A. Wellman".
Said permit shall contain provisions indemnifying and holding the City, its elective officials,
officers and employees harmless from claims and further requiring conduction of .the grading
work in a manner that it will not injure the property in the vicinity of the land to be
graded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall collect the cost of defraying
the expense of the examination and the report by the Director of Public Works in the sum of
Ten Dollars ($10.00), prior to issuing the permit, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall ascertain by inspec-
tion that said grading is performed in accordance with the permit and upon its completion,
shall file with the City Clerk a report stating the results of said inspection and certify-
ing that the grading has been performed in accordance with the permit.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held on the 1st day of February, 1960, by the following vote:
AYES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, Emilio Cortesi, Leo J. Ryan and
Patrick E. Ahern
