HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2978-1960RESOLUTION NO. 2978 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OF PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY RESOLVED, that public interest and necessity require the acquisition by the City of south san Francisco, a municipal corporation of the State of California, of the follow- ing parcel of real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit: PARCEL 4 All that certain piece or parcel of real property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, being a portion of that certain tract of land described in Deed to Antonio Piccardo and Catertna Piccardo, his wife, recorded June 1, 1937, in Volume 744 of Official Records at Page 271, San Mateo County Records (6914-D) more particu- larly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is the most easterly corner of said tract of land, said corner also being a point in the westerly line of Chestnut Avenue, as mentioned in said Deed; said point being dis- tant North 74° 27' West 30.00 feet from County Engineer's Station C 15/-17.30 P.O.T. of the center line of Chestnut Avenue as established by survey made in 1951 for the improvement of the intersection of Chestnut Avenue with Hillside BouAevard; thence along Said westerly line of Chestnut Avenue, §outh 15' 33' West 232.70 feet to a point which is distant North 74 27' West 30.00 feet from County Engineer's Station C 17/50.00 P.O.T. of last mentioned center lin~ survey; thence leaving said westerly line of Chestnut Avenue North 38u 54' 40" 86.02 feet; thence North 15° 33" East 195.83 feet to a point in the north- easterly line of said Piccardo tract; thence along last mentioned line South 63° 49' 41" East 71.22 feet to the point of beginning, containing an area of 0.344 acre, more or less. Bearings of all courses based on San Mateo County Survey Meridian. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said lands are suitable, adapta, ble~.necessary and required for ~ep~blicuse of said City of South San Francisco, to wit: For construction, operation, maintenance and use of the realignment of a portion of Chestnut Avenue. It is necessary that an easement for highway purposes be taken in said Parcel 4 to construct, operate and maintain a highway as now is or may hereafter become necessary for said public uses. The City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to commence proceedings in eminent domain against the owner of said parcel of land and any and all interests therein or claims thereto for the condemnation thereof for the public use of the City of South San Francisco as aforesaid.
