HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 2979-1960RESOLUTION NO. 2979 A RESOLUTION OF TH~CITY COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OF PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY RESOLVED, that public interest'and necessity require the acquisition by the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation of the State of California, of the following parcels of real proPerty situate in the City of South San Francisco, State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit: PARCEL 1. All that certain piece or parcel of real property situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, being a portion of that certain 2.35 acre tract of land described in Deed to Forest Knolls Land Company, recorded October 29, 1956, in ¥olmae 3118 of Official Records at Page 531, San Mateo County Records (99347-N), more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is the most southerly corner of said 2.35 acre tract, said point bein~ distant North 74v 27' West.40.O0 feet fro~ County Engineer's Station C 15~15.42 P.O,T. of Sb~_cQnte.r. li~e of Ches.tnut Aven.ue. as establish_ed by. survey made lime:~of ~d .2..,3§;~ acre :.l~c.t. All that certain piece or parcel of real property situate in the County of San Marco, State of California, bein~ a portion of that certain 3 acre ~ract of land described in Deed to Pacific Coast Con~truction Company, recorded January 3, 1950, in Volmae 1770 of Official Records at Page 394, San ~ateo County Records (29276-1), more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the northerly line of said 3 acre tract, said point being distant South 84~ 28' 4~' East 122.89 feet from the northwesterly corner of said tract, which corner is marked with a granite monument designated as L-5 and mentioned in said Deed, said point also being a point in the southerly line o~ Hillside Boulevard as described in said Deed; thence from said point of beginning along said southerly line of Hillside Boulevard and the northerly line of said 3 acre tract South 84° 28' 40" east 22.91 feet; thence along the northerly and easterly line of said 3 acre tract, easterly and southerly on the arc~f a curve to the right, tangent to the last mentioned course, sai~ curve having a radius of 100.00 feet, and a central angle of 100° 01' 40", a distance of 174.5S feet; thence continuing along the easterly line ~. ...... Area - 0.083 acre, more or less. Bearings of all courses based on San Mates County Survey Meridian. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said lands are suitable, adaptable, necessary and required for the public use of said City of South San Francisco, to-wit: For construc- tion, operation, maintenance and use of the realigmaent of a portion of Chestnut Avenue. It is necessary that an easement for highway purposes be taken in said Parcel 1' and 2 to construct, operate and maintain a highway as now is or may hereafter become necessary for said public uses. The City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to co~ence proceedings in eminent domain against the owners of said parcels of land and any and all interests therein or claims thereto for the condemnation thereof for the public use of the City of South San Francisco as aforesaid. * * * * Regularly passed and adopted this 21st day of March, 1960.
