A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO OF PUBLIC INTEREST AND
NECESSITY
RESOLVED, that public, interest and necessity require the;acquisition by the
City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation of the State of California, of
the following parcel of real property situate in tho City of South San Francisco,
State of California, more particularly described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL 3.
All of that certain piece'or parcel of real property situate in the
County of San Mates, State of California, being a portion.of that certain tract of
land described in Deed to Church of God Association of Northern. California, recorded
September 1, 1955, in Book 2868 of Official Records at Page 593, San' Mates County
Records (82498-M), more particularly, described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point, which.is the most westerly cOiner of the
above mentioned tract, Satd~point being distant South 49~ 04' 32~'

of the center line as established by survey made in 1958.for'the

a distance of 86.57 feet to the most. northerly corner thereof which

Pages 33 and 24, San~Mateo.County Records; thence leaving last men-
atoned line Sout~ 37- 04' 30" West 85.96 feet to a point which is
distant South'49 04' 32" East 60.00 feet from County Engineer's
Station R.131~25.83 B.C., of said center line survey; thence South
40° 55' 28' West 269.00 feet to the southwesterly line of said
tract; thence along the last mentioned line North 49° 04' West 16.00
feet to the point of beginning, containing an area of 0.118 acre,
more or less.
Bearings cf..all courses are based on San Mates County Survey Meridian.
BE IT FURTHERRESOLVED,: that said lands are suitable, adaptable, necessary
and required for the public use:of said City of South San Francisco, to wit: For
construction, operation, maintenance and use of the realignment of a portion of
· .Chestnut Avenue. It is necessary that an easement for highway purposes be taken
in said Parcel 3 to construct, operate and maintain a highway as now is or may
hereafter become, necessary for said.public uses.
The City Attorney is herebyordered and directed to commence proceedings
in eminent domain against the. owner of said Parcel of land and any and all interests
therein or claims thereto for :the:condemnation thereof for the public use of the City
of South San Francisco as aforesaid..
Regularly passed and adopted this 21st day of March, 1960.
