A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO ACCEPT CHECKS AND MONIES IN SETTLEMENT OF CLAIMS
AND EXECUTE DOCUMENTS'OF RELEASE AND SETTLEMENT
BElT RESOLVED bY the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that
the City Manager O~ said city be, and he is hereby authorized, to:
(1) Accept and receive funds, checks, or drafts for payment to City in full
for damage to City property, where said receipt of payment does not call for the
execution of any agreement, document or release wherein the City assumes any obliga-
tion for liabilitY, or pledges its credit, or waives any of its rights, and, further,
where said sum does not exceed Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00).
(2) Execute release or settlement for the payor of said monies, provided
said document, or release, or settlement, does not provide for assumption of any lia-
bility or obligation by City, or pledges the City's credit, or waives any of the City's
rights, except the release of liability incident to the claim.
I hereby ceeti~y that the foregoing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a regular meeting held this 16th day of May, 1960, by the following vote:

Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, Leo J. Ryan and Patrick E.
Ahem.
NOES, None
ABSENT, Councilman Emilio Cortesi
