A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR SALARY INCREASES, AND
ADJUSTMENTS, AND SALARY SCHEDULES, SALARY CONVERSION
TABLES AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FISCAL YEAR 1960-1961
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the employees' contribution to good
government in South San Francisco by their efficient and courteous attention to duty,
and
WHEREAS, in the past year the employees have aided the City Council's
effort to operate economically, so that services to the taxpayers may be expanded by
savings rather than increased taxes, and
WHEREAS, because of these facts and because wages throughout industry,
business and government are being revised to meet the increase in the cost of living
and the City Council deems it fitting and proper to provide for increases and adjust-
ments of employees' salaries for the fiscal year 1960-1961,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby order --
That the following schedules are approved and adopted for employees of
South San Francisco for pay periods commencing August 1, 1960, and following through
fiscal year 1960-1961:
1. Schedule A.
salary Schedule for South San Franc~co Municipal
Employees, 1960-61.
2. Schedule B.
Salary Conversion Table for South San Francisco
Municipal Employees, 1960-61.
3. Schedule C.
Classification Plan and Salary Schedule for South
San Francisco Municipal Employees, 1960-61.
That salaries for employees of the City of South San Francisco for pay
periods commencing August 1, 1960, and thereafter through fiscal year 1960-61 shall
be increased and adjusted as set forth in the City Manager's Inter-Office Memorandum
dated August 1, 1960, entitled "Salary Increases 1960-61" and in the City Manager's
Inter-Office Memorandum dated August 5, 1960, entitled "Salaries", and said employees
are hereby assigned the appropriate increment in their range, or as otherwise designated
all as shown on the schedules attached hereto except that only for the pay period of
August 1, 1960, to August 15, 1960, said salaries shall be increased:
By adding to the said salaries of all employees the sum
of the difference between said salary and the salary
paid for the pay period from July 1, 1960, to July 15,
1960, and
By.-adding to the salaries of the employees listed below the
sum of the difference between said salary and the salary
paid to the listed employees for the pay period July 15,
1960, to July 31, 1960.

Director of Public Works
Supt. of Public Works
Supt. of Recreation & Parks
Police Chief
Fire Chief
Chief Building Inspector
City Clerk
Supt. of Sanitation
Assistant Engineers
Part time employees in the Recreation Department, Library and
Police Department, including crossing guards.
By adding to the salary of Captain of Police the following
sum to wit: One Hundred Sixty-Three Dollars ($163.00).
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at an adjourned regular meeting held on the 8th day
of August, 1960, by the following:
