HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3073-1960RESOLUTION NO. 3073 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO APPROVING RECOMMENDATIONS AND REPORT OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 353 BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 3.12(e) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco, after hearings and proceedings in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California, has duly filed its Recommendations and Report as to the proposed amend- ment of Zoning Ordinance No. 353, as amended, the same being the Zoning Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco, wherein it is proposed to add to said Zoning Ord- inance Section 3.12(e) entitled "Private Non-Commercial Clubs" subject to the fol- lowing requirements and conditions, said sections and requirements thereof being more fully set out in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires to approve said amendment and endorse it into evidence that it has been adopted by the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby approve the Recommendations and Report of the Planning Com- mission of said City to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 353, as amended, and in particular Section 3 thereof by adding thereto Section 3.1Z(e) entitled "Private Non-Commercial Clubs", subject to the following requirements and conditions, said section being the same particularly set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof; and further orders endorsement of said Recommendations and Report by the signature of the Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, attested by the City Clerk, to evidence that said Recommendations and Report have been approved and a- dopted by the City Council. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby order the draft- ing of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 353, as amended, and in particular Section 3 thereof to add thereto Section 3.12(e). I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 6th day of September, 1960, by the following vote: AYES, NOES, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G. RODONDI CITY CLERK RESOLUTION NO. 3073 (CONTINUED): 3.12 0 Se EXHIBIT A Private non-commercial clubs subject to the following requirements and conditions: The building site area shall be not less than 2 acres. The site for any such use shall be located on a parcel abutting on a major street or shall be able to provide access to a major street without caus- ing heavy vehicular traffic on local residential streets. Vehicular ent- rances and exits shall be carefully controlled and designed to minimize traffic hazards. No main building or outdoor place of assembly shall be located closer to any lot line than the distances set forth in the following table. Greater distances may be required as a condition of any Use Permit. Occupancy load as referred to in the following table shall be determined in accord- ance with the rules of the Uniform Building Code for each type of occupancy. All exterior artificial illuminated shall be so arranged and placed as to relict the light away from adjoining lots in Residential District. The intensity of illumination from any light source on a lot shall not exceed one-half (½) foot candles at any point ten (10) feet beyond the side or rear lot lines abutting any other lot in any Residential District. There shall be maintained on each lot line abutting any other lot in any Residential District, a solid masonry wall or a landscaped screen planting strip not less effective than a six (6) foot compact evergreen hedge to protect adjoining property from noise and activity generated on the site. Additional screening may be required as a condition of the authorization of any Use Permit. Off-street parking shall be provided in accordance with section 3.27 unless in the opinion of the Planning Commission a larger number of spaces are required.
