HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3078-1960RESOLUTION NO. 3078 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN- CISCO GRANTING A GRADING PERMIT TO OSCAR PERSON AND M. S. SWANSON, DOING BUSINESS AS PERSON AND SWANSON BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Dir- ector of Public Works having filed a report of his recommendations on the application of OSCAR PERSON and M. S. SWANSON, doing business as PERSON AND SWANSON, for a grading permit, the City Council hereby authorizes the City Clerk to issue to OSCAR PERSON and M. S. SWANSON, doing business as PERSON AND SWANSON, a grading permit to grade the property described as follows: A portion of Parcel 26, San Marco County Lands, described in San Marco County Recorder's File No. 55195-B, and described as follows: BEGINNING at a point in the Easterly line of said Parcel 26, at the Northeasterly corner of the lands described in the Deed from the City and County of San Francisco, a municipal corporation, to Ed. R. Guerin and Grace F. Guerin, his wife, in joint tenancy, and dated November 3, 1948, recorded November 24, 1958, in Book 1596 of Official Records, San Marco County, at page 544, File No. 63545-H; Thence from said point of beginning, North 11° 39' East along the Easterly line of said parcel 26, 2180.62 feet to the south- westerly line of Colma Creek; Thence along said line North 54° 31' 15" West 533.98 feet~ the Easterly line of San Bruno Road, abandoned; Thence along said Easterly line the followin~ courses and distances; South 13° 20' 16" West 417.95 feet, South 11 32' West 1590.85 feet, South 8© 28' West 88.31 feet, South 4° 12' West 262.62 feet, and South 10 22' 54" West 131.28 feet to Northwest corner of the herein- above described property described in San Mateo County Recorder's File No. 63545-H; Thence along the Northerly line of said parcel North 89° 57' 45" East 444.38 feet to the point of beginning. Said grading permit shall provide that the grading be done in accordance with the Director of Public Works' Inter-Office Memorandum dated June 29, 1960, revised, entitled, "Approval of Tentative Map of Person and Swanson Industrial Tract", which is hereby referred to and by this reference made a part hereof, and in accordance with the grading plan submitted by OSCAR PERSON and M. S. SWANSON, doing business as PERSON AND SWANSON, showing proposed fill grades on the plan entitled, "Improvement Plans, Person and Swanson Industrial Tract, City of South San Francisco, California - Embankment (Fill) - Increment No. 1 - Box Culvert - Increment No, 1". Said permit shall contain provisions indemnifying and holding the City, its elective officials, officers and employees harmless from claims and further requiring conduction of the grading work in a manner that it will not injure the property in the vicinity of the land to be graded. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall collect the cost of defraying the expense of the examination and the report by the Director of Public Works in the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) prior to issuing the permit, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall ascertain by inspec- tion that said grading is performed in accordance with the permit and upon its completion, shall file with the City Clerk a report stating the results of said inspection and certifying that the grading has been performed in accordance with the permit. * * * * * * * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of September, 1960, by the following vote: AYES, NOES, ABSENT, Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G.
