A RESOLUTION OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF SUBPOENAS TO THE MEMBERS
OF THE SAN FRANCISCO PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION AND STAFF
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisc°, that:
1. WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has before it the deter~ination
of a course of action to relieve the residents of said City of a continuing nuisance
caused by flights of jet aircraft on takeoff from San Francisco International Airport
across South San FranCisco, and
2. WHEREAS, the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and staff have
knowledge and information and are further provided with certain powers and rights
which are material to the City Council's inquiry for'the purpose of determining an
adequate course of action to abate said disturbance and nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that:
1. Subpoenas be.issued to the members of the San Francisco Public Utilities
Commission and staff set forth below, requiring them to appear on November 15, 1960,
at 8:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, for hear-
ing in said matter;

Henry W. Roden
Thomas P. White..
2. That the City Council undertake to arrange a conference with the Public
Utilities Commission of San Francisco and staff for November 15, 1960, at 8:00 p.m.,
or a date prior thereto, and failing the arrangement of that conference meeting by
October 30, 1960, said subpoenas issued as hereinbefore ordered.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held this 17th day of October, 1960, by the following vote:
