THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
REGULAR MEETING
September 23, 1987
TIME: 7:00 p.m.
PLACE: Community Room, Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive
South San Francisco, California.
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Mark N. Addiego called the Redevelopment Agency
meeting to order at 7:11 p.m.
ROLL CALL: Present: Chairman Mark N. Addiego; Vice Chairman Jack
Drago; Member Richard A. Haffey; Member Gus
Nicolopulos
Absent: Member Roberta Cerri Teglia
Also Present: Deputy Executive Director Mark Lewis; City
Attorney Valerie Armento
A~NDA Deputy Executive Director Lewis stated that there were no
REVIEW: changes to the agenda.
MEMBER TEGLIA Member Roberta Cerri Teglia arrived at 7:17 p.m.
ARRIVES:
CLOSED The closed session was held to deal with the matter of
SESSION: litigation.
RETURN FROM The Board returned from Closed Session at 7:33 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION: No action was taken.
GOOD & WELFARE: Vice Chairman Drago stated that: At the recent Redevelopment
Agency Board Meeting, we were asked by the Pacific
International Business Center to fund a guest speaker for
their planned event. It was supposed to be great for our
City. When I received this announcement, I learned that the
speaker was scheduled to speak in Brisbane and not South San
Francisco, and had I been given that fact in the initial
request by that organization, I certainly would have
disapproved of our Redevelopment Agency financing $2,500 for
the speaker. I do not believe Agency money should be spend
for private firms outside the Agency boundary. I just
wanted the Board to know my feelings on this.
Chairman Addiego invited members of the public to speak on
items related to the Redevelopment Agency. No one chose to
speak.
ADJOURNMENT: It was motioned by Member Haffey and seconded by Member
Teglia that the Redevelopment Agency Meeting be adjourned.
The motion as made and seconded was unanimously carried.
