A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO ESTABLISHING A SCHEDULE OF COUNCIL-COMMISSION
CONFERENCES; AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICES, AGENDAS, MINUTES AND
REPORTS CONCERNING' SAID CONFERENCES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City C0uncil of the City of South San Francisco that;
WHEREAS, the City Council in performi'ng the policy making function for the City has
available the advice and recommendations of the respective Boards and Commissions of said
City usually forwarded through written memorandums or resolutions, and
WHEREAS, conferences between the City Council and the policy recommending Commis-
sions and Boards may serve to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the policy making
function so as to further improve the quality of City Government, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to schedule such conferences between the Council,
Commissions and Boards for said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED -
1. A schedule of conferences between the City Council and the respective Commis-
sions and Boards of the City is hereby established for South San Francisco whereby annually
conference meetings shall be held as follows:
(a) January 10th - A conference meeting between City Council and Planning Com-
mission
(b) February lOth - A conference meeting between City Council and Personnel Board
(c) March 10th - A conference meeting between City Council and Recreation
Commission
(d) April 10th - A conference meeting between City Council and Library Board
(e) May lOth - A conference meeting of the City Council, Planning Commission,
Personnel Board, Recreation Co~mtssion and Library Board
(f) June - No meeting scheduled
(g) July - No meeting scheduled
(h) August loth - A conference meeting between City Council and Planning Com-
mission
(i) September 10th- A conference meeting between City Council and Personnel Board
(j) October 10th - A conference meeting between City Council and Recreation
Commission
(k) November lOth - A conference meeting between City Council and Library Board
(1) December 10th - A conference meeting of the City Council, Planning Commis-
sion, Personnel Board, Recreation Commission and Library Board
2. The scheduled dates for the meetings as hereinbefore set forth may be changed
by the Mayor upon reasonable notice to the members of the City Council and the Commission or
Board scheduled to meet with the City Council.
3. The City Clerk shall maintain a record of the minutes of the meetings, and
shall distribute agendas and notices of the meetings to the City Council, members of the Com-
mission or Board and City Manager ten (10) days prior to the scheduled meeting date.
4. On or before January lOth and July lOth of each year the City Council, Board,
Commission, officer or employee charged with the performance of an item of business upon
which action.has been agreed upon in a conference meeting shall file with the City Clerk a
report as to the status or disposition of the item of business and said report shall be cir-
culated to the City Council, Board or Commission concerned.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at an adjourned
regular meeting held this 28th day of November, 1960, by the following vote:
