A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GRANTING A GRADING PERMIT TO
ARTHUR HASKINS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the application of ARTHUR HASKIN6, 114 So. Maple Avenue,
South San Francisco, California, to ftll a'~t~hree (3) acre parcel of land
located at the intersection of East Harris Street and the proposed Little-
field Road designated as the Haskins Ferrando Parcel in accordance with
the plan endorsed in red on that map entitled, "Survey of Haskins Ferrando
Parcel", dated August 1, 1960, Survey No. 529~9, same being on file in the
office of .the City Clerk, having been received and the Virector of Public
Works' recomendation having been made, it is ordered that a fill and
grading per~it be issued to said ARTHUR HASKINS in accordance with the pro-
posal made.
And further that said peratt shall contain provisions indemnifying
and holding the City, its elective officials, officers and employees harm-
less from claims and further requiring the conducting of the filling and
grading in a manner that will not injure the property in the vicinity of the
land to be graded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall as-
certain by inspection that said fill and grading are performed in accordance
with the permit and upon its completion shall file with the City Clerk a re-
port stating the results of said inspection and certifying that the grading
has been performed in accordance with the permit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a permit shall be issued to said
ARTHUR HASKINS to transport fill material over the City streets in accord-
ance with the proposal made~ and said ARTHUR HASKINS shall post a bond with
the City Clerk to indemnify the City for any damages which may be caused to
any sidewalks or pavement, sewers or any other public improvement in trans-
porting said fill material in the amount of TWO THOUSAND and no/100 DOLLARS
($2,000.00).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ARTHUR HASKINS shall be responsible for obtain-
ing consent or permits from any other public or private agency or person if such are
required and shall comply with all laws and regulations of any other public agency
should they be related to his filling and grading operation.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held this 19th day of December, 1960, by
the following vote:

Councilmen Andrew Rocca, G. J. Rozzi, Leo J. Ryan, and
Patrick E. Ahem
NOES, Councilman Emilio Cortesi
