HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3213-1961RESOLUTION NO. 3213 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REQUESTING ACTUARIAL STUDY BY THE STATE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM WHEREAS, Sections 21251.4 and 21251.5 of the State Employees" Retirement Law provided certain adjustments to the retirement allowances of presently retired members of the State Employees' Retire- ment System; and WHEREAS, said Sections 21251.4 and 21251.5 do not and will not apply to the retired employees of the City of South San Francisco unless the City specifically amends its retirement contract with the State Employees' Retirement System to include said sections; and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco desires to know the cost to the City that will be incurred if said sections are added to said contrac~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the State Employees' Retirement System be requested, and it is hereby requested, to conduct a special actuarial study to determine said costs, it being understood that the City of South San Francisco will pay a special actuarial assessment to be levied against the City by the State Employees' Retirement System, the amount of which shall not exceed Fifty Dollars - (,50.00). I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 19th day of June, 1961, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen: Noes, " Absent, " G.
