HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3249-1961RESOLUTION NO. 3~9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO EXTENDING A WELCOME TO THE NEW MARY"S HELP HOSPITAL TO BE ESTABLISHED IN NORTH SAN MATE0 COUNTY BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that: WHEREAS, the Mayor's Hospital Committee for North San Mateo Qounty has de- termined the need for additional hospital beds in the North San Mateo County area and the City Council has heretofore, the Resolution No. 3114 and 3129, requested the Cali- fornia Advisory Hospital Council to create a. uew hospital service area for North San Mateo County, and ~ WHEREAS, the California Advisory Hospit'al Council did,. by action taken of February 10, 1961, create a new hospital service area in North San Mateo County, and WHEREAS, Mary's Help Hospital, conducted by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, has purchased approximately ll acres iu North San Mateo County as a site for their new hospital, and WHEREAS, the site, being located to the west of Juuipero Serra Boulevard and north of the Christen Ranch,. is in a good location to provide service to the residents of the City of South San Francisco,. NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED that the ~ity Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby welcome the Daughters of Charity of Mary's Help Hospital to ~North San Mateo County and does offer them good wishes for the success of their new hospital. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco does commend the Daughters of Charity for their efforts iu providing this commu- nity service for residents of the City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 7th day of August, 1961, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noe s, Absent, " G.
