A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR SALARY INCREASES,
AND ADJUSTMENTS, AND SALARY SCHEDULES, SALARY CON-
VERSION TABLES AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN FOR FISCAL
YEAR 1961-62
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the employees' contribution to good
government iu South San Francisco by their efficient and courteous attention to duty,
and.
WHEREAS, in the past year the employees have aided the City Council's effort
to operate economically, so that services to the taxpayers may be expanded by savings
rather than increased taxes, and
WHEREAS, because of these facts and because wages throughout industry, busi-
ness and government are being revised to meet the increase in the cost of living and
the City Council deems it fitting and proper to provide for increases and adjustments
of employees' salaries for the fiscal year 1961-62,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby order - -
That the following schedules are approved and adopted for employees of South
San Francisco for pay periods commencing August 15, 1961, and following through fiscal
year 1961-62:

RESOLUTION NO. 3250 (Continued):
That salaries for employees of the City of South San Francisco for pay
period commencing August l, 1961, and thereafter through fiscal year 1961-62 shall
be increased and adjusted as set forth in the City Manager's inter-office memorandum
dated August ~, 1961, entitled, "Schedule of Salary Increases 1961-62", and said em-
ployees are hereby assigned the appropriate increment in their range or as otherwise
designated or as shown on the schedules attached hereto and the referenced memorandum
and attached schedule except that only for the pay period of August l, 1961, to August
15, 1961, said 1961-62 salaries shall be further increased.
1. by adding to the said 1961-62 salaries of all employees -
(a)
the sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid
for the pay period July 1, 1961, to July 15, 1961, and the sum of
the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay
period July 15, 1961, to July 31, 1961.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the
7th day of August, 1961 by the following vote:
