A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISC0 EXTENDING.
SYMPATHY UPON THE DEATH OF DAG HAMMARSKJOLD,
SECRETARY GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS
WHEREAS, the death of Dag HammarskJold takes from our quest for peace a
dedicated leader, and
WHEREAS, we share the sorrow experience by all men of good will on this
occasion.
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
hereby give formal expression to its great loss iu the death of Dag HammarskJold and
does hereby note iu its records the passing from life of a man whose dedication to
the cause of peace and other purposes of the United Nations provides us with an
example worth emulating.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the
18th ~day of September, 1961, by the following vote:
