A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GR.~NTING A GRADING AND
HAULING PERMIT TO UTAH CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
that the application of UTAH CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO., 100 Bush, San Francisco,
California, to export approximately 6000 cubic yards of material from the Bethlehem
Steel Company to complete the surcharge in South San Francisco Industrial Park Unit
2-C as shown on the oriyinal ~radin~ plan of the Unit 9-C area, in accordance with
the application filed November 6, 1961, same bein~ on file in the Office of the City
Clerk, havin~ been received and the Director of Public Works' recommendation havin~
been made, it is ordered that a ~rading and haulin~ permit be issued to said UTAH
CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO. in accordance with the proposal made.
And further that said permit shall contain provisions indemnifyin~ and
holdin~ the City, its elective officials, officers and emplgyees harmless from
claims and further requirin~ the conductiny of the yradiny (exc.) in a manner that
will not injure the property in the vicinity of the land to be ~raded.
BE IT FURT~IER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works Shall ascertain
by inspection that said ~radin~ (exc.) is performed in accordance with the permit
and upon its completion shall file with the City Clerk a report statin~ the results
of said inspection and certifyin~ that the ~radin~ (exc.) has been performed in ac-
cordance with the permit.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a permit shall be issued to UTAH CONSTRUCTION
& MINING CO. to transport fill material over the City streets in accordance with
the proposal made, and said UTAH CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO. shall post a bond with
the City Clerk to indemnify the City for any damages which may be caused to any
sidewalks or pavement, sewers or any other public improvement in transportin~ said
fill material in the amount of TWO THOUSAND AND N0/lbO ($2,000.00) DOLLARS.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that UTAH CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO. shall be re-
sponsible for obtainln~ consent or permits from any other public or private a~ency
or person, if such are required, and shall comply with all laws and re~ulations of
any other public a~ency should they be related to their ~radin~ (exc.)-and haulin~
operations.
