RESOLUTION NO. 3387
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED CONVEYING FEE TO PORTION
OF RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR HARBOR WAY AND TO SMALL PARCEL OF
PROPERTY SITUATE AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF HARBOR WAY
AND EAST GRAND AVENUE
WHEREAS GRACE F. GUERIN and E. R. GUERIN, her husband (hereinafter, for
purposes of convenience, Jointly referred to as "Grantors"), are wtlliny to convey
to the City of Sou~th San Francisco, in return for said City's paying to them a
reasonable consideration therefor, the fee title to the right-of-way for a portion
of the public street known as "Harbor Way" together with a small triangular-shaped
piece of property situate at the southwest corner of the intersection of said Harbor
Way and East Grand Avenue, in said City; and
WHEREAS it is in the best interests and welfare of the City of South San
Francisco that the fee title to the aforesaid right-of-way and the triangular-shaped
piece of property be acquired, provided that the same can be purchased for a reason-
able sum; and
WHEREAS it appears that the reasonable value of the aforesaid right-of-way
and the adjoining piece of property is Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00), as deter-
mined by the appraisal made by Ralph F. Clark, a duly licensed and qualified appraiser
of land,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of said City that said
City shall, and it hereby does, accept that certain duly executed and acknowledged
Grant Deed dated the 17th day of November 1961, whereby Grantors do convey to said
City fee title to the above-mentioned right-of-way and adjoining triangular-shaped
piece of property, and that said City pay to Grantors in return therefor the sum of
Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00); provided, however, that Grantors shall, at their
own expense, furnish to the City of South San Francisco a policy of title insurance
insuring in said City good and marketable title to said riqht-of-way and adjoining
triangular-shaped parcel of property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City be, and he hereby
is, directed to cause said Grant Deed, together with a certified copy of this resolu-
tion and a draft of the City drawn in the sum of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00)
(char~ed to the Harbor Way Assessment District's Fund) to be forwarded to the Redwood
City Office of California Pacific Title Insurance Company, with instructions to record
said Deed and the certified copy of this resolution at such time as it is prepared to,
and does, issue, at the expense of Grantors, its policy of title insurance, insuring
in the City marketable title to the aforesaid right-of-way and adjoining, triangular-
shaped parcel of property, whereupon said title insurance company may deliver to
Grantors said sum of Nine Thousand Dollars ($9,000.00).

City Council of the City of South San Francisco held on the
