A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO GRANTING A GRADING AND HAUL-
ING PERMIT TO ARTHUR HASKINS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
the application of Arthur Haskins to export approximately 125,000 cubic yards of
material from the excavation site on Junipero Serra Boulevard to the produce land
and investment site in accordance with the application filed March 5, 1962, same
bein~ on file in the office of the City Clerk, havin~ been received and the Direc-
tor of Public Works' recommendation havin~ been made, it is ordered that a Gradin~
and Haulin~ Permit be issued to said Arthur Haskins in accordance with the pro-
posal made.
And further that said Permit shall contain provisions indemnifyin~ and hold-
in~ the City, its elective officials, officers and employees harmless from claims and
further requirin~ the conductin~ of the ~radin~ in a manner that will not injure the
property in the vicinity of the land to be ~raded.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Public Works shall ascertain
by inspection that said ~radin~ is performed in accordance with the Permit and upon
its completion shall file with the City Clerk a report statin~ the results of said
inspection and certifyin~ that the ~radin~ has been performed in accordance with the
Permit.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a Permit shall be issued to Arthur Haskins to
transport fill material over the City streets in accordance with the proposal made,
and said Arthur Haskins shall post a bond with the City Clerk to indemnify the City
for any damages which may be caused to any sidewalks or pavement, sewe s or any other
public improvement in transportln~ said fill material in the amount of Two Thousand
Dollars ($2,000.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Arthur Haskins shall be responsible for obtain-
in~ consent or permits from any other public or private a~ency or person, if such are
required, and shall comply with all laws and re~ulations of any other public a~ency,
should they be related to their ~radin~ and haulin~ operations.
