HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3489-1962RESOLUTION NO. 3489 A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO TO VACATE PORTIONS OF BRENTWOOD DRIVE, KENWOOD WAY AND HAZELWOOD DRIVE RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California· as folIows: 1. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941. 2. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 2nd day of July, 1962, at 8~P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco· is hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in, or havin~ objections to, the pro- posed vacation of portions of Brentwood Drive, Kenwood Way and Hazelwood Drive, as hereinafter described, may appear before said Council and be heard. 3. A copy of this Resolution shall be published one in the Enterprise- Journal, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the manner prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in said City. 4. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of this Council to vacate, portions of Brentwood Drive, Kenwood Way and Hazelwood Drive described as follows: METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION Beginning at a point which lies in the easterly right-of-way line of Kenwood Way, said point being the beginning of a curve which is the most westerly line of Block 17, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2, as recorded on May 9, 1946, in Book 25 of Official Maps, at pages 50 and 51, County of San Mateo, State of California, from said point of beginning along the arc of a curve to the right in a northerly direction, tangent to the easterly right-of-way line of Kenwood Way, said curve having a radius of 20 feet and a central angle of 90° 00', an arc distance of 31.416 feet to a point in the southerly right-of-way line of Hazelwood Drive; thence tangent to the last-mentioned curve along the southerly ri~ht-of-way Iine of Hazelwood Drive in a northeasterly direction, N 59° 15' 26" E a distance of lO0.O00 feet to a point on a curve; thence along a curve to the right, tangent to the last-mentioned course and in a southeasterly direction, said curve hav- in~ a radius of 30 feet and a central angle of 90° 00', an arc distance of 47.124 feet to a point which lies in the easterly line of Block 17, Brent- wood Subdivision No. 2; thence, Ieavin~ said easterly line of Block I7, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2, N 59° 15'-20" E a distance of 48.808 feet to a point which lies in the westerly right-of-way line of E1Camino Real; thence alone said westerly ri~ht-of-way line of E1Camino ReaI in a north- westerly direction, N 29° 44'-00" W a distance of 35.200 feet; thence leavin~ the westerlp ri~ht-of-way line of E1Camino Real, in a southwest- erly d{rection, S 6~° 0~' 00" W a distance of 63.656 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction, S 59° 15' 20" W a distance of 141.500 feet to a point on a curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the Ieft tangent to the last-mentioned course, said curve having a radius of 20 feet and a cen- tral angle of 90° 00', an arc distance of 31.416 feet; thence in a south- easterly direction tangent to the last-mentioned curve, S 30° 44' 40" E a distance of I92.000 feet to a point on a curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left tangent to the last-mentioned course, said curve havin~ a radius of 20 feet and-a central an~le of 90° 00' an arc distance of 31 ~16 feet; the nc~ in a northeasterly direction tangent_ to the last-mentioned 20" curve, N 59 15' E a distance of 149.500 feet to a point on a curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the left tangent to the last-mentioned course, said curve having a radius of 20 feet and a central angle of 90° 20' 46.9", an arc distance of 31.538 feet; thence along a line tangent to the laSt-mentioned curve, N 30° 23' 53.1" W a distance of 27,000 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction S 59° 36' 06.9" W a distance of 8.000 feet to a point on the easterly Iine of Block 17, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2; thence along the arc of a curve to the right tangent to the easterly line of Block 17, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2, said curve having a radius of 30 feet and a central angle of 89° 39' 13", an arc distance of 46.943 feet to a point ou the northerly right-of-way line of Breutwood Drive; thence along the northerly right-of-way line of Brentwood Drive in a south- westerly direction, S 59° 15'-20" W a distance of 99.782 feet to a point on a curve; thence along the arc of a curve to the right tangent to the last- mentioned course, said curve havin~ a radius of 20 feet and a central angle of 90° 00', an arc distance of 31.~16 feet to a point ou the westerly line of Block 17, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2; thence along the westerly line of Block 17, Brentwood Subdivision No. 2 which is also the easterly right-of- way line of Kenwood Way, tangent to the last-mentioned curve in a north- westerly direction, N 30° 44' 40" W a distance of 160.000 feet to the point of beginping. 5. Notices of the vacation of portions of Brentwood Drive, Kenwood Way and Hazelwood Drive shall be posted conspicuously along the line of the portion proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date set for the hearing. Such no- tices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart, but not Iess than three shall be posted.
