A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR SALARY INCREASES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1962-63
WHEREAS, the City Council reco~nizes the employees' contribution to ~ood
~overnment in South San Francisco by their efficient and courteous attention to
duty, and
WHEREAS, in the past year the employees have aided the City Council's effort
to operate economically, so that services to the taxpayers may be expanded by savinys
rather than increased taxes, and
WHEREAS, because of these facts and because wa~es throughout industry,
business and ~overnment are bein~ revised to meet the increase in the cost of livin~
and the City Council deems it fittin~ and proper to provide for increases and ad-
justments of employees' salaries for the fiscal year 1962-63,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby order; that salaries for employees of the City of South San
Francisco for pay period commencin~ August 1, 1962, and thereafter through fiscal year
1962-63 shall be increased and adjusted as set forth in the City Manager's Inter-Office
Memorandum dated August 6, 1962, entitled "Schedule of Salary Increases 1962-63", and
said employees are hereby assigned the appropriate increment in their range or as
otherwise designated in the referenced memorandum except that only for the pay period
of August 1, 1962, to August 15, 1962, said 1962-63 salaries shall be further in-
creased, by addin~ to said 1962-63 salaries of all employees:
The sum of the difference between said salary and the salary paid
for the pay period July 1, 1962, to July 15, 1962, and the sum of
the difference between said salary and the salary paid for the pay
period July 15, 1962, to July 31, 1962.
