HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 3556-1962RESOLUTION NO. 3 fS A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS NORTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD CURB, GU~.TER A~,[D SIDE~ALK IMPROVE, M~T RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San ~rsncisco, California, that Wt~EAS, the said Council did, on the 4th day of September, 1962, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 3~2 to order grading, removing existing curbs, driveways and sidewalks, and the construction of pavement, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, and appurtenances in said City, all as more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THE~EFORE, the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish once a week for two weeks in the South San Francisco Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper published and circulated in said City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improvements, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said City Clerk, the first of which publications shall be at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening bids. Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the o?der of the City amounting to ten per cent of the bid, or by a bond in ssid amount and payable to said City signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer an oath~ in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said City in case the bidder depositing 484 ~SOLUTION N0. 3556: (Continued) the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, e~ter into a contract with the City. Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk of this City on or before 2:00 O'clock P. N. on the ~th day of October, 1962, said time being not less than fourteen days from the time of the first publication of said notice. Bids will be publicly opened, examined, and declared on said day and hour and referred to the Council at its meeting at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on October 15, 1962. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this Sth day of September, 1962, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Leo J.
