TI~ CITY OF SOUTH SAIT FRANCISCO TO VACATE A PORTION
OF P0}'TDEROSA ROAD IN AVALON PARK NO. ~
~U~SOLVED, by the City Council of the City of So~th San Francisco, California, as
follows:
1. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 19~fl.
2. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 1st day of October, 1962, at $ P.M. in
the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, is hereby fixed as the time and place
whem and where all persons interested in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of
a portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No. 3, as hereinafter described, may appear before
said Council and be .heard.
3. A copy of this Resolution shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the manner prescribed
by law for publishing ordinances in said City.
~. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of this
Council to vacate, a portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No. 3 as shown on the map on
file in the Office of the City Clerk, a copy of ~ich is attached hereto, and said portion
is described as follows:
Portion of Ponderosa Road, as said road is shown on the map entitled
"Avalon Park ~o. 3 South San Francisco, California", which map was
filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo,
State of California, on July 28, 1954, in Book 39of Maps at page
~6 and 47, said portion being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of Lot 56, Block 6, as shown on
the map above mentioned; thence along the northeasterly line of said
Lot 36 South 34° 53' East 9~.00 feet; thence along a curve to the right,
tangent to the last named course, having a radius of 20.00 feet, through
an arc of 90°, an arc distance of 31.42 feet to a point on the north-
westerly line of Alhambra Road; thence along said northwesterly line of
Alhambra Road produced, North ~o 07' East 13.74 feet; thence along a
curve to the left, tangent to the last named course, having a radius
of 20.00 feet, through an arc of 67° 46', an arc distance of 23.66 feet
to a point of reverse curvature; thence along a cur~e to the right,
having a radius of 16~ feet, through an arc of 67° 46', an arc distance
of 19~.1~ feet to a point on the northwesterly boundary of Avalon Park
No. 3 above mentioned; thence southwesterly along said northwesterly
boundary of Avalon Park No. 3 to the point of beginning.
RESERVING T[~REFROM the following easements as shown on the map
entitled "Avalon Park No. 3, South San ~.~rancisco, California", Which
map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo,
State of California, on Ju~y 28, 19~4, in Book 39 of maps at pages
46 and 47.
a. Right of way for electrical poles and wires and gas pipes
b. Right of way to install, excavate for, replace, maintain pipes for
conveying gas
Public service easement as shown on the ~ap entitled "Avalon Park,
South San ~ancisco, California", Which map was filed in the office
of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on
July 7, 1949, in Book 30 of maps at pages 32, 33 and 3~.
d. A 40-foot public utility easement as shown on said map
e. Overhang privilege as set forth on said map
5- Notices of the vacation of a portion of Ponderosa Road in Avalon Park No. 3
shall be posted conspicuously along the line of the portion proposed to be vacated at least
ten (10) days before the date set for the ~aring. Such notices shall be posted not more
than 300 feet apart, but not less than three shall be posted.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San ~rancisco at a regular meeting held this 4th day
of September, 1962, by the following vote:
