TRACT BETk[EEI~ TtIE BOA~D OF ADMI}tISTRAT!0N OF ~IE STATE
EMPLOYEES' RI~TIREMI~}~T SYSTEM A~ Tr~~ CI~ COI~ICIL OF

W~REAS, the State Employees~ Retirement Law permits the particff, eation of
public agencies and their employees in the State Employees' Retirement SyStem by the
execution of a contrsct, and sets forth the procedure by which said public agencies may
elect to subject themselves and their employees to amendments to said Law; and
WHEREAS, one step in said procedure is the adoption by the legislative body
of the public agency of a resolution giving notice of its intention to approve an amend-
ment to said contract, which resolution shall cont~in a summary of the changes proposed
in said contract; and
Wi~E}IEAS, the following is a statement of the proposed change:

AFTER ~.~IH0 ARE COMPENSATED 0N AN HOURLY BASIS SHALL BE EXCLUDED.
NOW, Tt~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South S~n
Francisco gives, and it does hereby give, notice of intention to approve an smendmeAt to
contract between said City Council and the Board of Administration of the State Employees'
Retirement System, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto~ marked Exhibit "A",

and by this reference made a part hereof.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held
on the 17th day of September, 1962, by the following vote:
Leo J. Ryan, Patrick E. Ahern, Emilio Cortosi, Andrew Rocca~ and G.J. Rozzf
