CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION CONFIRMING VICE MAYOR GARBARINO AS
THE VOTING DELEGATE TO THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA
CITIES AND APPROVING THE REVISED RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,the League of California Cities(LOCC)Annual Conference is September 3-5,
2014 in Los Angeles; and
WHEREAS,the Annual Business Meeting is part of the Annual Conference taking place on
Friday, September 5; and
WHEREAS,the League membership reviews and takes action on resolutions which establish
League policy during this meeting; and
WHEREAS,the City Council must delegate a voting delegate to vote at the Annual Business
Meeting, which Vice Mayor Richard Garbarino will attend; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of South San Francisco
confirms Vice Mayor Richard Garbarino as a voting delegate to the League of California Cities and
approves the Resolution at the Conference calling upon the Governor and the Legislature to convent
a summit to address the environmental impact of illegal marijuana cultivation.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of August,
2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
