CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LICENSE AGREEMENT
WITH NEW CINGULAR WIRELESS PCS, LLC (CINGULAR)
FOR THE FACILITY AT 480 NORTH CANAL ON THE FIRE
TRAINING TOWER AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE LEASE.
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff has received a request from New
Cingular Wireless, PCS, LLC for a new cell phone tower license agreement ("Agreement") with
the City for the Fire Training Tower at Fire Station 61; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Training Tower at Fire Station 61 was constructed in order to
accommodate cell phone towers; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Agreement, New Cingular Wireless, PCS, LLC. would be
obligated to pay a monthly rent charge of$3,500; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends entering into the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the Agreement with New Cingular Wireless,
PCS, LLC.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby
authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City, subject to approval
as to form by the City Attorney.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day of
August, 2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto
