HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1912-05-20 Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South San l~rancisoo, held Monday May,20, IgIE. Meeting called to order at 8[I0 ~ 0 Clock P.M.~by Trustee F.A, Cunningham President of the Board of Trustees. Roll Call Roll call found all Trustoes present, to wit; G.W.Holston, T.L.Hickey, J,H.Eelley, J.C.~c. ~overn and F.A. Cmi~ingham.' Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Upon motion of Trustee Mc. Govern seconded by Trustee Hickey and regularly carried the Liquor Licenses held by HoG,Vandenbos at the Linden Hotel was revoked, so that an application · ~fr0m Wolgave~and ~enger ~o~'.whom H.J. Vandeubos had sold his t~usine~s,~ight be p~sented to the Board of Trustees. And after the said application had been read and the Bond for One Thousand (IO00) Dollar~ ~'~resentSd~B~fthe~applieants, for t~etr faithful compliance with ordinance number four had been accepted by the Board, the said applicants were granted a'permit for a "Class A ""Liquor Licenses for the balance of the Fiscal year ending June, ~0,IgIE~ by the unanimous vote of all Trustees present. Moved by Trustee Mc. Govern seconded by Trustee Kelley that W.P.Acheson be appointed as a Health Officer of the City of South San Francisco,at a salary of~IS, PER MONTH. Carried A report from J.H.Kelley Chairman of the purchaseing committee concerning the purchase of a new TYPewriter for the use of the City Clerk was heard and upon motion of Trustee Hickey seconded by Trustee Mc. Govern and regularly carried was accepted. Moved by Trustee H~okey seconded by Trustee Mc. Govern that the Telephone service in use in the City Hall be discontinued Carried The following demands against the City were presented for payment ~he same having been app- roved by the finance committee To Pacific Tel. & Telegraph e~ FOE Telephone service Wm. J. Smith fees as City Clerk and cost of Postage stamps Underwood Typewriter company cost of new Typewriter League of California Municipalities dues to League for one year South San Francisco Water Company Water furnished Jail Month April Clarence Hock Labor on sewer D. W.Ratto acting as Interpreter in Recorder Court. J. Burtecelli % Ed Farrell Claning City Hall James 0armody Coal and other supplies for City ~ A,G.Bissett Sprinkleing City Streets Frank Lafranchi burying IIdogs @ 50~ ~ William Rehberg City Recorder fees as City Recorder W.J.Martin REnt for Jail site for one year ending December 5I,I912 2Z. 75 ~-9. Carried that the above demands be paid and Moved by Trustee H~ckey seconded by TrusteeKelley that the Board adjourn until Monday June Z,I'gI~, to meet at $$3i0 Miller Ave. at 8'0 Clock P.M.
