Aeommunication From ~ne League of California Municipalities regarding the annual
oonvention was received and filed.

P.L. Kauffmann be granted permiss~om to move a building located on lo~ 8 Blook 1E4 a distance
of fifty feet.

Resolved,that whereas the Board of Trustees of t~e City of South San Franoiscodid on the
l?tn day of June,191~,pass its resolution o~ ~ntention N~.II to order the hereinafter des-
cribed work to be done and improvement to be made in said City,which resolution of intention
was duly and legally published as required by law,as appears from the affidavit of E.I.Wood-
man now on file in the office of ~ne City Olerk of said 0ity;and whereas notices of ~e
passage of said resolu~ ~. i-zte~.~.,.o;....;~.~i headed"NOTICE 0~ I~PROVMENT" were duly and
legally posted along the lie of said contemplated work and i~provment and in front of all
the property liable to be assessed therefor,in form and manner as required by law ,as app-

upon the completion of the posting of said notices,forthwith filed said affidavit in the

easter.ely curb line and at a distance of eleven (11) feet westerly.therefrom;also by ~~g
CONSTRUCTING concrete sidewalks and concrete curbs on the westerly sideof said San Bruno
Road,except v,.'here~$ such sidewalks and curbs have already been constructed ,and by filling
in earth between curb and concrete sidewalk so as to bring that portion of the sidewalk om
the westerly side of said road between curb and concrete sidewalk to official grade;also bY
constructing an asphaltic concrete pavement consisting of an asphaltic concrete surface

The Board of Trustees undrew, tt~e authority conferred upon it by tn. provisions of that
certain act of the Legislature of Th~ State of California approve~ ~pril,TZh 1~±~,
~r~own ms'~he Iui.~rovment Act of 1911" determines and declares that serial bonds shall be issue
to represent the ~tst of said proposed improvments ;said bonds shall be serial ,extending o

over a period of ~-~ years from the second day of January next s~xceeding their date,and
shall be issued to represent assessments of twenty five dollars o~~ more remaining unpaid fo
for thirty days after the date of the warrant issued to the Contractor or five days after the
decision of said BOard of Trustees on an appeal; an annual proportion of the principal sum
of each bond shall be payable by eouponm on the second day of January of each year after its
date and until the whole is paid and intrest shall be l~ayable semi-annually ~ coupon on the
second days of January and JttlY respectively of each year at the rate of seven per cent per
~nnum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and intrest is paid .
And said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of said "improvment Act
of 191I~·
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post notice of said work together with the plan
and specifications therefor conspicously for five days on or near the council chamber door
sinviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered.
He is also directed to publish a notice inviting such propos?~ls md referring to the
specifications posted or on f~le by two insertions in "The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper
published and circulated in said and hereby designated for that purp ese.

"~he Enterprise" a weekly newspaper printed and published and circulated in thee ~ity of
South San ~ranci scois hereby designated as the newspaper in which thLs resolution of intention
shall be published and the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution of intention
~o be published by two insertions in the manner and form required by said improvment act of 1911
The superintendent of streets shall immediately cause to be conspicously posted along the
line of said contemplated work and improvment and in front of all property liable to be assessed
notices ~f the passage of this resolution of intention in the manner and form required by said
"Improvment Ace of 1911".
All the hereLn propoeed work shall be done in pursuance of an act of th
Legislature of the State of California designated as "~he Improvment Act of 1911". approved April
?th, 1011.

An application for a "Class A" liquor license was received from Antonia Costa and accom-
paning the application wqs a bond in the penal sum o~ One Thousand Dollars for ~he
faithful compliance with ordinance ~59,by the applicant and ~he applicant having pomplied
with all of t~e provisions of Ord. $59 he was granted a permit for a "Class A" license for
the period of six months ending December Z1, 1914.,upon roll call and by the unanimous
vote af all Trustees present to wit;

The report of Recorder Rehberg for ~he month of June was read which report showed th
that the sum of forty dollars had been collected through his office dur~ing the month of
