This ~eeting was called to order at 8' 0 Clock p.m. b~ Trustee G.W. Holston "President of the Board ". Roll-call Roll call found the following Trustees,present,to wit; J.C. ~,!c ~overn,Ceorge Wallace and G.W. Holston. Trustee F.A.C~uuningham appeared after rollcall. Absent Trustee J.H. Kelley. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and up~on motion of Trustee ~ ~c Govern seconded by Trustee Wallace and regularly carried ,were approved as read. A communication,asking per.~ission to lay gas mains on Aspen Avenue was received from th e Pacific Gas & Electric Co. Upon motion of Tr~stee ~Ic Govern seconded by Trustee Wallace ~zh~ regu~larly carried,the permission was granted. Acommunication was received fro~ C.J. Lindgren ,wherein he asked for an extention of thirty (Z0) days on his contract for improving Railroad Avenue. The following resolution was then introduced l~y Trustee ~Ic Governs. Resolve4 by the Board of Trustees of the City of South S n ?rancisco that Chas. J. Lindgren be,and he hereby is ~ranted an extention of thirty days within which to complete the work of i~?rovi~g R~ilroad ~lvenue under his contract therefor,providing the surety on his bonds consents to such extention. This being the date set for the receiving of bids for the '~elephone franchise it was moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee 7allace that the bids be opened. C arrri ed The only bid received was that of the Pac. Tel. and TeleGraph Go.in the amount of One hundred twenty-five ~$1£5)Dollars. The following resolution of award ~fas then introduced by Trustee Cunningham. l'.fhereas ~he Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California,did on the 17th day of I~ay,1915,make a ~tten application to ti~e Board of Trustees of the City of S,uth San Francisco County of S n I~ateo, State of California,and to exercise the privelage of operating telephone and telegraph instruments aud doing a telephone and tele~rap~~ business within said City of South San ?rancisco; and ~';hereas on the 17th day olf ~ay,191~,s~id Board of Trustees adopted a certain resolution directing the publication of a notice of said application and of the intention of said Board of Trustees to offe~· for sale to the highest cash bidder said right,privelage and franchise upon the ter~s and conditions in said resolution set forth;and ?nereas said notice of application,wherein the character of the proposed ~ranchise or privela~e is fully ~et forth,has been du~y~published in all respects as re quired by law and in sai~, resolution dissected; and Vfhereas said Board of Trustees,did in open session,on the 21st day of June 1915,open and examine all sealed bids presente~~ for ~aid right,privelage and franchise and whereas The Pacid~ic Telephone and Telegraph Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California ,has offered the highest cash bid for said right privelage and franchise,and has in all respects complieA with the provisions of the law relating to granting said right,privelage and franchise be ,and the same hereby is sold and awarded to said ]~he Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. General monthly rates for water served through meters shall be at the rate of T~?enty-three ~,ents per hundred cubic feet ;provided that the charge for serving water through such meters shall not be less than One Dollar (~lO~ per month for any service connectioz Section E. Water supplied other than through nete~s shall be furnished at meter rates at the amount estimated to have been so supplied. Section Z.
