This meet~_ng was calle~ to order at 8'oc!ock p.~n., by Tzu~stee C. W. Holston, President of the Boar~. Roll-call. Roll-call found the following Trustees, present, to-wit; ~. A. Cunningham, J. C. ~,~c Govern, Geo. H. Wallsce, and G. W. Holston. Trustee J. H. Kelly appeared after rollacall. The minutes of the previous meeting was moved by Kelly seconded by ~eorge Wallace and a~oped as read. Upon motion of Trustee Kelly seconded by Trustee Cunningham reports of city offices be accecpted. W. J. Smith Gity 0~lerk Notify United Rail Roads to fix crossings at ~rand Avenue. ~{oved by Geo. H. Wallace seconded by ~. A. Cunningham that the above demandsbe paid. W. J. Smith City Clerk The followlng resolution was in~:ro6uced by ~Kelley. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San _~rancisco, that the certain deed of South San Drancisco Land and Improvement Company, a corporation, granting to said City of South San Pran~isco an easement for a sewer right of way and the construct-~ ion, maintenance and use thereof of said sewer through and under those certain lots, pieces or parcels of land, the same being the property of the party of the first part, situate in ~aid City of South San 2rancisco, County~of San Mateo, State of California, and particular- ly described as fo!lows, to-wit: A strip of land two and one-half (2-1/2) feet on each side of the following ~escribed line, which said line begins at a point which is 8istant North seventy-five de- ~rees, fifty-one minutes, sixteen seconds West, 571.20 feet from the most southwesterly corner of Block numbered Ninety-eig/~t (98), as shown upon that certain ~_~ap entitled"South Ban Prancisco, San ~ateo Co. Cal. Plat No. l", which map was recorSed in the office of the ~ounty Recorder of the County of San }~ateo, California, ~farch 1st, l~ in ~{ap Book No. 2 at page 5~; thence South fifteen degrees, thirty-three minutes West ~6 feet to the norther- ly line of the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company¢ Also a strip of land two and one-half (£-1/2) feet on each side of the following ~escribed line, which said line begins at a point on the southerly line of the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, said point being distant North eighty-four degrees uwenty-three minutes West, 579.70 feet from the most southwesterly corner of Block numbered Ninety-eight (98), as shown upon the map hereinbefore mentioned; thence South fifteen de- grees, thirty-three minutes West, tE$6. 45 feet; thence South thirty-~ix degrees, forty-two minutes West, 21.Z6 feet to the easterly line of the Valencia Street Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, be, and the sane hereby is accepted. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that the bond of The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, a corporation, in the amo'~mt of One Thousand Dollars(S1000.00), which bond was filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City of South San 2rancisco on the £5th day of J~me, 1915, p~trsuant to the resolution passed and adopted by said Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco on the £1st day of June, 1915, wherein there was sold to said The Pacific Telephone and Tele- _graph Company a franchise to place, erect and maintain poles, wires and other appliances and conductors and to lay undergro~md conductors ~or wires for the transmission of elect- ricity for telephone and telegraph pur?oses, in, upon, and ~mder the streets, alleys, avenues, thoroughfares and public highways in the City of South San Francisco, State of California, and likewise pursuant to an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An act providing: for the sale of street railroad and other franchises in count- ies and municipalities, and providing conditions for the granting of such franchise by the Legislative or other governing bodies and repeaiin~ conflicting acts," approved ~Iar- ch £2nd, 1915, be, and the same hereby is accepted and approved. - o- o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o- o- I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introd~ced and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco this ~2~, day of August, 1915, by the following vote: ayes, Trustees F.
