RESOLUTIO ORDERIJ~G THE C01~STRUC!fION OF A C01~ORETE APPROACH,CONCRETE STEPS AND SIDEWALKS, A~!D RETAINING WALL AT THE PUBLIC LIBRARY BUILDING IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN ~RANCISC 0. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that public interest and convenience require the work herein described, and the Board of Trustees of the City of ~outh San Francisco hereby orders the following work to be done in said City to wit $ The construction of a concrete approach,concrete steps and concrete sidewalk~, and a concrete retaining wall at and about the public library building and at the places and l~oations shown for said work upon the plans hereinafter mentioned. The bidder to whom is awarded the contract will be required to ~xecute a bond for the faithi%al performance of his work in an amount equal to twenty-five (25) per cent of the amount of his undertaking,with at least two responsible sureties in the full amount of the bid each,and will be required, before entering upon the work, to furnish a good and suffidient bond as required by an act of the Legislature of the State of California,approved ?~arch 27,1897, entitled" An Act to secure time claims of material-men,mechanics, or laborers employed by contractors upon State, l{unicipal, or other public work; and will also be required to exhibit to ~aid Board of Trustees a policy of insurance showing that said bidder is insured against loss through accident or negligence in such a way as to fully and satisfactorily protect said Cit~ of £outh~ San 2rancisco,under the provisions of the workmens Compensation IMsurance and Safety Act of the State of California. The contract must be entered into in compliance with and subject to the conditions imposed by section 6~Zc of the penal code of the .qta~e of California.
