HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 101-2014 RESOLUTION NO. 101-2014 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GROUP 4 ARCHITECTURE, RESEARCH + PLANNING, INC. OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, FOR THE GRAND AVENUE LIBRARY RENOVATION PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $79,760 WHEREAS, on June 2, 2014, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Request for Proposals ("RFP") for the Grand Avenue Library Renovation Project("Project"); and WHEREAS, on July 10, 2014, staff received proposals from four(4) firms; and WHEREAS, after reviewing the proposals and interviewing all four (4) firms, Group 4 Architecture, Research+ Planning, Inc. was ranked highest based on their project understanding, qualifications and expertise, interview, and experience; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute the consulting services agreement for the Project to Group 4 Architecture, Research + Planning, Inc. ("Group 4") of South San Francisco, California in an amount not to exceed $79,760; and WHEREAS, funding for the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2014-2015 Capital Improvement Program ("CIP"). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the consulting services agreement for the Grand Avenue Library Renovation Project to Group 4 of South San Francisco, California, in an amount not to exceed $79,760 conditioned on Group 4's timely execution of the Project contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, certificates of insurance and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City upon timely submission by Group 4's signed contract and all other documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 10th day of September, 2014 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
