Marco, ~t~te of Oalifornia. a written petition signal by over ene-fif~ in n~ber of the qualifie~
electors of s~d m~ieipal corporation, computed uponthe n~ber of votes cast at ~the last general
municipal election h~ therein, aski~ that the hereinafter described new territory be a~exed
$0, incorporated in and ~de a part of said m~lcipal eorporation~d asking and proposl~ that the~
boundaries of said City be altered accordingly; and f~ther asking that there be submitted to the
qualified eleetora of maid munietp~l corporation annd to the qualified electors residing in the

election to be held on Monday, the l~th day of march, 1916, for the pnrpose of submitting to the q

said notice was likewise published in "San Marco Times" a weekly newspaper printed and published
outside of the Cit~ of Soutlm San l~rancisco but in said County of San Mateo. being the Oounty in
which the territory hereinbefore des~ibed is situated for four (A) successive weeks ne~ proceed-
ing said l~th day of March, 1916 and in the msmner and form required by law, as appears from
the affidavit of Paul Pinckney, w~ich affidavit is now on file in the office of the City Clerk;

The 0ity Clerk is hereby ordered and directed to make and certify under the seal of said Cit$
of South Ban Francisco, and transmit to~ the Secretary of State a copy of this resolution, together
with a statement showing the date of said election and the time and result of the canvass of the
votes cast thereat, and likewise to tramsmit to the County Clerk of the $ounty of San Marco,
State of 0alifornia, a copy of said resolution and of such a statement.
