Kelley president of the Bo~.r Roll c~.ll found the follow&ng Tmustees present to wit: F. A. Cunnin~ham, ~/. F. Hesly, G. N. Hotston, G, H. WeLlace and J. H. Kelley. The minutes of the pre~ious meetings were read ~nd ~por4 motion of F. A. Cunnin~ham seconded by G. H. Wallace were approved as The following Resolution Ordering the Work was then introducgd by F. A. Cunnin~.h~m. No. 28. · Resolved that, whereas the' Board o.f Trustees of the City of South San Francisco did, on ~0 th dey o£ July, 19}6, pass its Resolution of Intention. No. ~$ tO:order the hereinafter descr work to ye done ~nd improvement to be made in said City, which Resolution of Intention was duly and re~-ulsrly published as required by law, ss appears from the affidevit of C. H. Woodm~n now file in the office of the City Clerk of ~eid Whereas notices of the passage of said Resolution of'Intention No. g8 heeded "Notice. of Improvement".were duly and legally posted along the line of s~id contemplated work or improveme: and-in fromt of all ~roperty liable to be assessed therefor end ielong all the open..streets with said d~trict, in manner end form as required by law, as appears from the ~ffidavit of Geo. A. Superintendent of Streets of said City, who~ after the completion of the posting of said notice filed his affidavit in the office of the City Clerk, making oath that he, the seid Geo. A Knees~ cdmpleted the posting of said notices on the gSth dey of July, 1916; and Whereas at notime has any person delivered to the City Clerk of said City or to said Board of Trustees a written protest against seid work, or any part thereof, or ~.gainst the e~te~ of the district herelnefter described, or egsinst both said work ~nd ,said district; Now therefore be it resolved that public interest and convenience require the work here'. 8escribed end the Board of Trustees of tie City of South S~n Francisco h~reby orders the follow: work to be done in s~id City, to-wit; Thet Swift Awenue between the easterly line of the right of way of the Southern Pacific Railroad and the easterly end of said Swift Avenue and W~}ker Avenue from the westerly ~end ther, to a line at right an~les to the center line thereof 10?~.Z1 feet easterly from the westerly end of said Walker Avenue be improved by g~ading to official ~rsde, and at the location and fo: width shown upon the plans hereinafter referred to, and by constructing therein an asphaltic co] pavement consisting of en asphaltic concrete wearing surface one gnd one-half ~l-.~/B) inches in th£ckne~e .laid~.on a concrete base s.~x (6) inches in thick~, ese, having a width of eighteen feet, an~ st the particular location shown on the plans hereinafter referred to;also by cons,~ru¢ earth shoulders on e~ch side of said pavement et the locations and of the dimensions shown, upon the plane hereinefter referred to; ~lso by constructing a reinforced concrete box culvert and eightee~ ~18). inch corrugated iron culverts at the locations shown upon the plans hereinefter referred to. Notice 'is hereby given that serial bonds to represen$ unpaid assessments, and bear interest at the ~ate Gf seven(7) pe~ cent per snnum will.be issued hereunder in the manner specified by the improvement Act of 191~, the~last !nstallmen~ of which bonds shall mature nine (9) years froTM the second (2) day of July next Succeeding nine months (9~ from their da~e. The City Clerkis hereby directed tQ post s no'~ice of ~sid work together with the plans~ and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five (~ fa~s on or near th~Oouncil Chamber Door inviting sealed proposals for doing the work ordered. Ordinance no. 59 of the City of South San ~rzncisco entitles "An ordinance lice sing and regulating the traffic, vending aud disposing of spirituous, malt, and fermented liquors wines or ~ny admixture thereof, in t~e ~i~ o-~' South San ~rane~sco, "passed ~nd adopted July, Ic. is hereby ~mended by adding the following section: Section 26. The n'~mber of Class "A" licenses shall not exceed twenty-four. Section 2. 0r~inance No. 7Z of the City of South San Francisco entitled "An ordins~nce amending ordinance No. 59 of the City of South San Francisco entitled 'An ordinance licensing sn~ regulating the traffic, vending ~nd disposing of spirituous, malt, and fermen&ed liquors and wine~ eny admixture thereof, in the City of South S~n Francisco, 'passed and adopted July, 1912, by adding a new section," which ordinance No. 7Z was passed and adoptedNovember 6th, 1912, is hereby repealled. Section Z. This ordinance shall be published once in the "Enterprise", a weekly newspap~ printed, published and circulered in the City of South San Francisco and ~hall take affect and be in force from and after the expiration of thir.ty {~0} days from the date of its passage.
