This meeting was called to order at 8' 0 clock p.m., by Trustee J.H. ~elley "Presid~t ef the Board of Trustees. R011 call Roll-call found the following Trustees, present, towit; ~~[~t~~, M.P. ~ealy, G.W. Holston,Geo. H. ~'~ll~ce and J.H. Kelley. Absent Trustee P.A. Cunningham. The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and upon motion of Trustee Holston seconded by Trustee Wallace andregulsrly carried were approved as read. Meved by Trustee Healy seconded by Trustee Wallace that the City Clerk be instructed te order three addi&ienal lights in the follewing places one light to be placed on Miller Avenue between Maple and W~lnut erie on Millerbetween Walnut and Spruce and erie between Grand and Miller on Walnut St. Motion Carried A Petition was received frem the Pae, Gas & Electric Cempany for permission te set poles en Braden Avenue in Pecks. Subdivision for the purpose of supplying current. The petition was referred to the City ENGINEER. Application&s fer Class ~ licenses were received as follows Peter PALA Central Hotel,R. Harder,318 San Bruno Avenue, Geo. Walthers 100 Grand AvenUe and e G. Bertucelli 200 Grand Avenue. Accompaning each of the ~bove applications was a bond in favor of the City of Sou~h San S~n Francisco in the penal su~: of One Thousand Dollars for the £ai~ ~1 o~mPliancw with the provisions of Ordinance ~59 by the applicant and the ~pplicants ,having com- plied in all respects with the Provisions of the said ordinance they were granted permits for a CLass A liquor license for the term of six menths endin~ 30th. 1917. Moved by Trustee Heleten seconded by Trustee Wallace that the City Clerk be instx'ucted to communicate with the Pac. Gas & Electric Co. sad endeavor to have a pole removed from the corner of Grand smd Linden Avenue and also one from the N.W. Corner ef Miller and Linden Avenue . Motion Carried A Communication was r~ceived from zhe V.P. of the U.R.R. of San Francisco saying that pre-payment clewed type of cars would be operated in South S~n Francisco, at once, the communic~tlon was Ordered placed on file. The following ~esolution was introduced by Trustee W~llace. Whereas, on the llth. day e~ December,the Beard ef Trustees of the City of South San Francise~ awarded a contract for street cleaning to H. Mc Mahou , and Whereas said H. Mc Mahou has refused to enter into a contrect with the said City for the performance of the said work~ Resolved by the Board of Trustees t~of the City of South San Francisco that the City Cle rk be, and he hereby is direct d to publish for a period of two weeks in "The Enterprise" a weekly news- paper published in said City,a notice inviting sealed proposals for doing said work said notice aha be in all respects ,the same as that hitherto published, except that the date for receiving proposals shall be the 8th. day of January, 1917. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adepted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco,this lSth day of December 1916,.by the fellow[~ vote: Ayes Trustees ~.F. Moved by Trustee Wallace seconded by Trustee Hesly that the December Salaries of the City officers be paid before Christmas. Motion Carried Moved by Trustee Holston seconded by Trustee W~llace that the sum of .Twenty-five hundred dollars be paid on the civic center site.
