This meeting was called to order at 8 ! o clock p.m., by Trustee Kelley "President of the Board of Trustees". Roll-ceil Roll-call found the following Trustees present, to wit; E.A. Cunnin~hsm, C.W. Holston, George H.Watlace and J.H. Kelley. Absent Trustee M.F. He~ly. The minutes of the ~sw~ops~meeting were read ~nd up~nomo~ion of Trustee ~'alla~ seconded by Trustee Cunningham and regularlycarried were approved ~s read. Two Applications for permits for Class A liquor licenses were received bN the Board of Trustees at this meeting both for the building known as the Paccheco building situate at the corner of Grsnd Avenue and S~n Bruno Road., the applicants ~ere Joseph Paccheco Jr. and John F. Goldner Moved by Trustee W~llace seconded by Trustee Holston that the both applications be laid over unti~ the next meeting of the Board of Trustees. Cerried An arplication was'receivsd from J.H. Denis contractor for permission to blast rock Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Wallace that the permission be granted. Carried The City Engineer having reoorted the loss of a number of manhol® covers~through theft,it was moved by Tr~stee Holston seconded by Trustee ~allace that the City Engineer be instructed to purchase from the Enterorise FoundrN South S~n Francisco, the required number. Ca. rried The following Resolution was t hen introduc~d by Trustee Wallace.~ Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of said Board of Trustees to order the fo]lowin~ street work to be done in said City to w~tt; That that portion of Division street ,as shown upon that certain maP entitled "South S~n ~rancisce, S~,n M~teo County,C~l. Plat No. 1" which map w~s filed in Ihs office of the County Recorder of the County of San M~teo ,California, ~rch 1.1892, ~in Book B of m~ps ~t page 6, acopy of which map is recorded therein in Book 2 of maps at page 82,lying between the ~outherly boundary line of Grand Avenue and the westerly boundary line of the right of way of t~ Southern P~cific Company, be v~c~ted and closed up. That it is unnecessary to take eny l~nd therefor. All of the herein proposed work shall be done in Duzsu~naeeof an act of the legislature of the State of C~lifornia entitled,"An act to provide for laping out,opening,extending,widening, straightening or closing up ,in whole or. in part,any street,square,l~ne,court,alley or place within municipa~ities,~nd to condemn ~nd acquire~ny ~.nd ~ll lands and property necessary or convenient for that purpose," approved M~rch 6,1889,and the several acts amendatory thereof or supplemental tereto The street Superintendent is hereby directed to cause to be conspicously~lon~ the line og sid conte~p~zted work or impro vment notices of the passage of this resolution in the manner and form- required by law. Ssid street superintendent is likewise directed also to cause a notice similar in substance to be published by four (4) successive insertions in "The E~terprise",a weekly newspaper printed,pubYished and circulated in s~id City of South San Francisco and hereby designated by s~id Board of Trustees as the newspaper in which ssid street superintendent's notice of the pass~ge of this resolutio$ shall be published. I hereby certify that tl~e foregoin~ resolution was regularly introduced and ~dopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South S~n Francisco this 21st. day of May, 1927.,by the following vote; Ayes TrusteesF.A.Cunningham, G.W.Holston, Geo. ~allace and J.H.
