Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of South,Sa~ ~raneiseo held Monday
May e0, 1918. Thiw meeting was ealled tor~order by 8:00 p.m. by Trustee G. W. Ho]ston .President
of the Board. Roll eall found the fo]lowing Trustees present to wit: A. J. Esehe!baeh, M~ ~. Heal2,
J. H. Kelley, and G. W. Holston. Trustee Cunningham appeared after roll eall. The minutes ~ l~he
~revious meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Healy seconded by Trustee Kelley md reg-
ularly earried were approved as read.
An applieation of the Pae. Gas & Else. Co., to set poles, as per blue print ~223 R ,
attaehed to said applieation was reeeived at this meeting and aetion on same postphoned, until
hex t meetingn to allow publie Utilities eommittee to interwiew Mr. ~loren~e with the object of
having poless set in alley.
The bond of City Treasurer E. P. K~uffmann in the sum of ($~000~ was presented at this
meeting and was aeeepted by the following resolution whieh was introdueed by Trustee Esehelbach.
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Franeiseo that the offieial bp
bond submitted by Edward P. Kauffmann as City Treasurer be, and the same hereby is approved.

Moved by Trustee Cunningham seeonded by Trustee Healy that City Marshall be ~nstrueted
to have Mr. Deseher of Burlingame, ms~e ~epa~rs on fire truck. Motion Carried.
Upon motion of Trustee ~Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy mud regularly earried the
?hairman of the Board of Trustees appointed Trustees Esehelbaeh and Cunningham to aet as a eom-
mitres to see W. J. Martin eoneerning the painting md fixing of fire hydrants in So. San Franciseo.
An applieation for a pool room ~ic~se to be eondueted at 322 Gr~nd Ave was received
at this meeting from Andy Issoglio add aetion on same was postphoned~until next meeting of the BD.
The following demands against the City were presented for paymant the same having been
approved b~,~the fin~nee eommittee.

Moved by Trustee Healy seeonded by Trustee Kelley that the above demands be paid ~d
warrants dramn for the various amounts.
Moved by Trustee Kelley seeonded bF Trustee Eschelbaeh that the Board adjourn until
Monday June 3, 1918, to meet at 310 Linden Ave at 8:00 p.m. Time of adjournment 9:20 p.m.
