Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of
South San Franeisco, held, Monday, August, 19, 1918.

Roll-call
Roll call found the following Trustees present,towit;
F.AJ Cunningham, A.J. Eschelbach, M.F. Healy, ~nd G.~. Holston.
Absent Trustee J.H. Kelley.
The ninute of the previous meetiug were read ,znd uron motion of Trustee Healy,seconded ~
Trustee Cu~nin~ham and regularly carried were approved as read.
A con~unication was received from the South S~n Francisco W~ter Conp~ny in response to one
from the City C~erk asking that a Fire Hydrant be placed at the Prest 0 Lite Plant. The c~munica
answered that the reques~ would be eomplied with.
The report of the City Recorder showed that the sum of Fifty (~0$~ollars had been collected
through his office during the month of July for which he enclosed cheek.
The report was ordered ~laced on file.
The following de~nds am~inst the City were pre~e~ted for pa~ent ,the same having been approved
by the finance e~mmittee.

AUT0~0BILES FOR HIRE AND THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS THEREIN ~ITHIN THE CITY

SAN FRaNCiSCO , July 6, 19lB AND ADDING A NEW SECTION TO SAID ORDINANCE, was formally intro-
duced by Trustee ~unningham,h~d its first reading and w~s laid over to some up under regular
order of business ~t the next meeting of the Board.

Whereas the installments of prineip~l and interest which became due on the 2nd d~y of January
~l~,upon the asse~snents hereinafter mentioned have not been paid,which assessments are portions
of-the ~he assessment issued on the 2?th of June ,191~,by the Superintendent of streets of the
City of South San Franeiseoon aecount of the street improvment work described in resolution o£
intention No. 28,passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Franeiseo
on the 1st. dayof May,~gl6,to whieh reference is herebymade szid assessments being the following:

Maps at page 62;
Resolved by theBoard of Trustees of the City of South San Franeiseo that the whole
amount of each of said assessments be, and the same herebyis deelared and determined to be due;
and the City Attorney is here'~'y authorized and directed in the name of said City odf South San
Francisco,to cor, mence proceedings to foreclose the unpaid assessments hereinbefore mentioned.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution regularlyintrod~.ced ~nd adopted by the Board of
Trustees of theCity of ~outh ~n Franciseo this 19th day of August, 1918,by the following vote:

doing business under the name of S.B. Mc Lenegan & Son to engage in the business of transporting
freight and express and to orer~te motor tru. ks for such transportation over 2~n Bruno Road
Linden Avenue znd such other streets within~ the limits of the City ~ofSouth Sun Francisco as
man be ne,ess~ry in c~rrying on business~ th~:t the vehiQ~es to be used ~re ~otor trucks of 2 ~/2
