Gentlemen:- In relation to the cost of the proposed City Hall to be erected in the City og South San Francisco,according to plans and specifications furnished by us we beg to state that we belie that the cos~ of this building will be approximately $?B,000.00 Very sincerely yours Warner & Coffey by Carl Warner The following communication from F.M. Clementw C.E..was then read~ To the Boa rd of ~rustees of the City of. South San Francisco~ South San Francisco,Cal. Gentlemen:- I am pleased to advise that 1 have investigated the question of installing a modern approved Fire Alarm Signaling System in your City, and believe th&t a system of standard equipmen and of sufficient magnitude to properly protect the property of your Citizens could no doubt be installed at this time for approximately Ten Thousand ($~0,.000.00~ Dollars,and basing my calculat upon data which has been obtained from many Cities in the United States of about the size of Scut Ssn Francisco, I recommend that your proposed bond issue be in the sum of not less than Ten Thous and ($10,000.O0)Dollars. Motion carried The following resolution was then introduced by Trustee Cuuningham Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~ranciscothat that certain resolution designated "D"'adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco on the £1st. d~ of April, 1919,and regord~d in volume ~ of said Board of Trustees at page 249 thereof,be.and the ~ hereby is vacated and set aside. The following resolution was then introduced by :Trustee Eschelbach~ RESOLUTION"D" WHEREAS ~t City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation in the Cou~y of San Mateo State of California,has no City hall; Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that said Board of Trustees does hereby determine that public interest and. necessity demand the ac quisition, construction and completion by said City of South San Francisco,s municipal corpor- ation .of a city hall and the grading of the civic center site in said City; that the constru~ ion of said city hall andthe grading of said civic center si~e are convenient and necessary ~ carry out the objects,purpose and powers of said City ;that the estimated cost of construction of the said City Ha~l is Seventy five Thousand ~$75,000.001 Dollars and the estimated cost of the grading of said civic center site is ~ine Thousand~$~000.00~ Dollars making a total of Eighty four Thousand 1584,000.00~ Dollars for the combined improvment of constructing said Clt~ Hall and grading said civic center site~that the eost of construction of said City Hall,toge~her with the grading o~ s~,id civic center site ,will b e too great to be paid out of the ordiaary annual revenue of asiA City of South~ San Francisco.and will.in adaition to the Other expenditures of said City of South aah Francisco.exceed the revenue for any one year. RESOLUTION "E" WHEREAS the City of South San Francisco,a municipal corporation in the County of San Mateo, State of California.has no system of sewers adequate for the disposal of the sewage of said munic ipality in that portion of said City lying on the Easterly side of the Westerly boundary line of San Bruno Roadin said City: Resolved by said Board of Trustees that said Board does hereby determine that public interest and necessity'demand'the acquisition.construction and completion by the City of South S~n Fran- cisco,a municipal corporation of a system of sewers for that portion of said City on the easterly side of the westerly boundary line of San B rune Road; that said improvment is convenient and nec- essary to carry out the objects,purpose and p~wers of said City; that the estimated cost of said improvmentis Thirty five Thousand [~5.000.005 Dollars and that the cost of said improvment is and will be too graat to be paid out of the ordinary annual revenue of said City of South San Pran cisco.and~will in addition ~o the other expenditures of said City of South San Prancisco.exceed the. revenue for any one year.
