Holston."President of the Board". Roll-call Roll call found the following Tr~stees present, to wit-; ~.A. Cunningham, A.J. Eschelbach, M.F. Healy, and G.W. Holston. Absent Trustee J.H. Kelley. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Healy seconded by Tru~ tee Eschelbach and regularly carried were approved s.s read. A protest was received from Torn Labisis against the keeping of hogs by some of his neighbors ~ the vicinity of Olive and California Ave's The City Clerk was instructed to call the attention of the Health officer to the matter for ac~nn. ¢ An application to conduct a pool room at 252 Grand Avenue was received from Monize Bros. Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Eschelba.ch that the permit be granted, Motl on carried The following re~olution was introduced by Trustee Eechelbach. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Prancisco,that the salary of C.C. Conrad as City Marshal be, and the same hereby is fixed at One hundred and fifty (150) Dollars per month said salary to be effective on the first day of September 1919,it being expressly understood that by accepting said salar~ said C.C, Comrad waives all rights to any fees under any ordinances of said City of South San ~rancmsco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco.this 18th. day of August,191~,by the following vote: Ayes Trustees ~.A. Cunningham, A.J, Eschelbach, M.F. Healy and G,W. Holston. Noes Trustee~ Eons Absent Trustee J.H. Kelley. William J. Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy that the City Clerk be instructed to address a communication to the Government Hospital at Ukiah in behalf of Joseph Castro Jr. asking for an investigation and a consultation of surgeons on his case to the end that an operation might be performed which would ~estore him to health. Motion carried The following demands agains~ the City were presented for payment the same having been approved by the finance committee. Enterprise Publishing Co. publication of ordinance 104 and Adt. Enterprise Press Job printing Southern Pac. Co. rent of ground for sewer crossing Jennings Pharmac~ supplies for bids $256.30 11.60 2,00 ,~6.~5 Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Eschelbach that the ab%ve demands be paid and wara~nts be dr~wn for the various amounts. ~otion carried.
