This meeting was called to order at 8' 0 clock p.m., Trustee G.W. Holston "President of the Roll call found all Trustees present,to-wit; F.A. Cunningham. A.J. Esghelbach, N.F. Healy, J.H. Kelley and G,W. Holston. Absent Trustees None The minutes of the previous meeting were raad,and upon motion of Trustee Kelley seconded by Trusts Healy and regularly carried were approved as reed, A petition was received from the Raisch Improvment Company asking permission to e~e&e~J~sts on Swift Avnue in connection with its contract to improve said street. Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by ~Trustee Eschelbach that the permission be granted. Motion carried A communication was received from Blanchard,Crocker and Howell asking for an extentiom of Thirty days on th~&r contract for the improvment of Walnut Avenue . In compliance with the request the following resolution was then imtroduced by Trustee Eschelbach Resolved by tho Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco that Blanchard.Crocker and Howell. be, and they ~ereby are grante$ an extcntion of thirty.(30) days time within which to com- plete their contract ~or the improvmen~ of Walnut Avenue ,provlaed the sureties upon the bond of said Blanchard,Crocker and Howell shall consent to such extention. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was rogularly introduced and adopted ~ the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francuisco,this l~th. day of September 1919,by the following vote; Ayes Trustees F,A. A communication was received from the South San Francisco Grove of Druids asking permission to to have a grand ball on October 26,1919, to be helsd in conjunction with a celebration of the return of members of the order from service in the American Expeditionary Forces in France. Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Hesly that the permission be granted. Motion carried A communication was received from. the So. S.F. Fire Dept, asking that the State Law be enforces in regard to parking automobiles within 1~ feet of fire hydrants . The City Marshal was instructed to procure signs warning owners of vehicles not to park within 1~ feet of any fire hydrant. A communication was received from the Railroad Commission of the State of ~alifornia notifying all interested parties of the hearing of C~se No.1~66 of Electric utilities on Oct. E0.1919, at the hour of 10 A,M. The communication was ordered placed on file. Upon request of J.C. Mc Govern Chairman of the Welcome home committee,the City Clerk was authori~ the Board to address a communication to the various industries where the returned sermice men South San Francisco were employed ,asking the heads of wueh industries to grant a leave of absence to the service men in their employ on September 20th that the men, might participate in the celebration of Sept. E0th. A communication was received from Pac. Coast R~,bber & Su?ply Co.,the United States Rubber Co., and the Plant Hubber & Asbestos Works all of San Francisco quoting prices on rubber hose. Communications ordered placed on file. ~ A petition signed by a number o~ residents of Grand Avenue and Baden Avenue and asking that tthe alley between Grand Avenue and Baden Avenue and that portion thereof between Maple and Spruce Ave be imprSved with a concrete payment ,was received by the Board of Trustees at this time. Moved by Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Healy tha~ the request be granted. ~otion carried The following resolution was then introduced by Trustee Healy. NO. 37 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRI~ST~S OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ESTABLISHING OFFICIAL ELEVATIONS OR GRADES ON A PORTION OF THE ALLEY BETWEEN BADEN AVENUE AND GRAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City .of South San Francisco as follows: Section 1. That all official elevations or grades on the portion of the alley between Baden Avenue and Grand Avenue ,which is included between the westerly line of Maple Avenue and the Easterly lim of Spruce Avenue be, and the same hereby are,determined,established and described with reference to mean Lower Low Water, as ascertained by the United States Coast and Geodetic Survey at Fort Motion carried A communication was received from Blanchard,Crocker and Howell asking for an extentiom of Thirty days on th~&r contract for the improvment of Walnut Avenue . Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco as follows: Section 1.
