Upon motion of Trustee Cunningham seconded by Trustee Eschelbach and regularly carrTed that t~ reading of the minute~ of the ~ms$ious meeting be dispensed with. An application to conduct a pool room in the LIetropolitan Hotel Building ~ss received from A. Ratti ~,~ioved by Trustee Kelley seco~ded by Trustee Healy and regularly carried that the permission be granted. ~,[oved by Trustee Cunningnam seconded by Trustee Kelley that the City Clerk be instructed to request the Pacific Gas And Electric Company,to have additional street lights placed inthe following places On Grand Avenue ppposite Tyson Cottage~,At JUnction of Sa~ Bruno and Butler Roads, At junc~Lp~, 9~ /'~ , and C ....... ~%'~,- Linden Avenue and S~n Bruno Road In alley 100 feet from L.nden ~venue between Linden ~~ Avenue ,in front of A.P. Scott Residence on Grand Avenue,~In front of High School . Motion carried Moved by Trustee Healy seconded by Trustee Cunningham that W.J. Tobin be paid the final settlement amounting to on the Commercial Azenue Sewer. Motion carried There being two sealed bids in the hands of the C~ty clerk for the purchase of $129,ooo.oo of the L~nicipal I--provment bonds,it was moved by Trustee C~nningham seconded by Trustee Kelley that the beds be ope~ed. Motion carried The fo]lowing bids were then opened and read. premium of One Hundred Thirty two $~I5~) Dollars. The Bank of South San Francisco Par value accrued interest Seven Hundred One and Three Per Cent Interest on daily balances of the fund. The Bank of Italy Par value accrued interest and a ($701) Dollars Premium The Trustees took the matter underadvisment until Wednesday evenin~ ~an~ E~$2~2~.at 8 0' clock p.m. A Communication was received from Public Welfare and Healhh Service of San Mateo County,hhrough its president Hilda ~. Dana, notifying the Board of Trustees of the appointment of Miss Cora Rackle on November l, 1919, to the position of Public Welfare Nurse in and for the City of South S~n Francis, and asking that the promised monthly donation of the Board of Trustees be paid to Miss Rackle. The following Resolution was then introduced by Trustee Kelley. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Frsmcisco, that the app- ointment of Cora Rackle as Public Welfare Nurse be, and the same hereby is confirmed, and the City Clerkis hereby directed to draw the warrs~.t o£ the City of South San Francisco in favor of said Cora Rackle for Fifty ($50.00) Dollars per month's, as compensation, beginning with the First day of November 1919 until the further orders of this Board. I hereb~ certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco this 26th day of ~[anuary 1920, by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees F.A. Cunningham, A. J. Eschelbach,mM. F. Healy, J. H. Kelle~' and G. W. Holston. Noes, Trustees None. Absent Trustees None Attest: William J. Smith City Clerk. Sample. form of bends were presented to the Board for their inspection by M. McGuire, of the Schwa-Bather-Fray Stationery Company with prices as follows: Printed bondsfor the proposed 1919 IssUe of.~Bonds One Hundred Fifty (150) in number for the sum of One Hundred Seventy-two and Pity One Hundreds Dollars ($172.50) and Lithograph Bon~s Four Hundred and Fifty ($450.00) Dollars. The samples and prices were ordered placed on file. The following demands against the City were presented for payment the same having been approved by the finance ~;ommittee. Martin Rent of City Hall 4 months 100.00 Heller, Powers, & Ehrman Consultation, examination and opinion, in the 1919 issue of bonds. 150.00 Total $250.00 Moved by TrustS. Cunntngham seconded by Trustee Kelley, that the above demands be' paid and warrants drawn for the various amounts. Motion Carried.
