In the Absence of President Holston Trustee F.2.Cunninghsn acted as President and call, the meeting to order at 8' o'clock, P.M. ROLL CALL. Roll call found the following Trustees present,to-wit;- A.J.Eschelbach, L.G.Hardy Jr., H.Scampini, F.A.Cunningham. Absent, Trustee G.W.Holston. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by Trustee itardy and regularly carried were approved. Applications for the position of fire truck driver were received from Themes J. Schmid and Roderick Tibbetts. Placed on ~:ile. £ communication was received from citizen ~{enry Knoth, cslling the Bo~rd's attention to the local street car service, advocating its improvement and the establishment of direct serv from fifth and Market streets through to South San Francisco without change. Trustees Eschelba. and Hardy and City ~ttorney Coleberd were appointed a committee to wait on Eupervisor Welch and other members of the Public Utilities Committee of San ~rancisco with a view to extending a str. ca~ line from San Francisco along the ~ay Ehore ±icad to ~outh San Francisco. This committee is aisc empowered to confer with the United Railroads in regard to the betterment of the local se: Robert G. Burns requested the ~osrd to construct or find a latteral sewer in front of his property on the San Bruno ~oad. He and City Surveyor Kneese were requested to bring in estimote of the cost of constructing a latteral at the next meeting. ~has. W.~!edlund sent a comuunication to the ~o~rd asking for the work of lettering the office doors and windows of the City H~ll. heferred to committee on ~blic Utilities. A communication was received from Frank Cornish, Ch~irm~n of City Attorney's Associ~ti of Northern ~aliforni~, addressed to City attorney Coleberd,requesting the City of So. San Franc to join with other municipalities of the state in sending N.Rand~ll Ellis, rate engineer of San Francisco, to the Railroad Commission conferences where the matter of rate increases are taken u' Eouth ~an Francisco's share in this co-operation is estimated $o bo ~lO0.O0. ~he subject wi' be taken up at a future meeting. ~ The reports of ~y officers Kauffm~n,Mc Govern, Truax and McSweeney were received and accepted.
