The meeting was called te order by G.W.Holstel, President ef the Board at 8 o'eleek p.m. Roll Roll call found all Trustees present, to-wit~- F.~.Cu~ningham, A.J.Eschelbach, L,G.Herdy Jr.. H.Seampini, B,W.~elston. The minutes ef the previous meeting~ere read and upon motion of Trustee Eschelbach seconded by Trustee Soampiniand regularly carried were approved. A oemmulioation was received from Prank Otis, Mayor of Alameda, requesting the Board to use its influene with our State Representatives at Saoremento in support ef Senate Constitutienal amendment ~l~.designed to prevent the annexation of mu~icipslities or consolidated cities a~d oountie~ without the consent ef the maJorit)~,ef the voters of such cities or towns or consolidated cities and counties. Acoepte~ and filed. A communication was received from the BoarA of Trustees of the City of Redding, C~lifernia, requesting the Beard of Trustees of th~ City to advise our Senator and Assemblym~n at Sacraments to use their best endeavors to defeat Assembly Bill ~128~, which, if passed, we~td prohibit cities of the Sixth class from levying taxes for revenue. The Clerk had been instructed previous to the regular meeting to wire our representatives at Sacremente to eppose the bill, which was dens, ~nd replies ~e~ived.'~-Sen&tor MB,Johnson stated that should the bill reach the Senate he would give the matter earnest consideration, and' would also take the matter up with Assemblyman Eskward. Assemblym~n Eskw~ reply stated that the bill was defeated in the Assembly. as also was bill ~227, pertaining te the election of Marshals. Accepted and filed. Special Electrical Inspector 8churk filed his written ~eport of the the inspection of the fire-alarm system,which he reported at the previous meeting was done according to contract, and accept to the city, ~iled. The Motor Vehicle Department at Sacremento wrote offering to supply the city with the 1921 ~utomobile Directory for the sum of $~2.§O.Meved by Trustee Eschelbach seconded bY Trustee Cumuingham the book be secured and the Clerk instructed to forward the necessary amount, Carried. . The Rainoil Weterproof Paint Co. wrote advertising their Rainoil for waterproofing cellars, basements, etc. ~ccepted and placed on file. The Wester~ Meat Co., through Charles ~oun~, ste. ted that the required materials for piping Pine avenue from San Bru~o Road to Division St would now be ordered ~ '~ ', and repairs to the stres would follow. Accepted. Gulio Lombardi and Bini Gelesio made application for a soft drink license for the Norman hot Permit denied. City Treasurer Kauffman's report for the month ef March was received mad read. The motion was seconded by Trustee Scampini end regularly carried. There being no further business before the Board Trustee Hardy moved to adjourn till Monda~ April 25th, 1921. at 8 o'clock p.m. The motion was seconded by ~r~stee Scempini and regularly carried.
