HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes 1921-09-06416 Regular meeting of the Boa~dof Trustees of the City of South San Francisco held Tuesday September 6th, 1921. The meeting was called to order at eight o'clock p.m. by Trustees G.~.Holston, President of the Board. ROLL CALZ. Rol~ call found the following Trustees present, to-wit:- Z.G.Hardy Jr.,H.$cam~ini and G.W.Ho~ston. Absent, Trustees F.J.Cunnlngham, A.J.Eschelb~ch. The minutes of the Previous meeting were read, and corrected to read that Colombo and Mainini, applicants for a pool room license for the California Pool Hell were granted a pool room license iastead of a soft drink license. On motion of Trustee Hardy seconded by Trustee Scampini and regularly cerried the minutes were adopted as corrected. An invitation was extended to the Board from the Celebration Committee of the Native Son's and Daughters Parlors of San Mateo County to attend the Admission Day Exercises at Half ~oon B~y on September 9th. Eommunic~tion ordered filed. A communication was received from the President of Stanford University and the M~yor of Palo Alto requesting South San Francisco's support at Santa ~onica to hold the 1922 Convention of the League of California ~unicipalit&es at The Stanford ~niversity and Palo Alto. Communication ordered filed. A petition was received from residents on Miller Avenue between ~inden Avenue and Cyprs Cypress Avenue asking that a light be placed in that block. Referred to the Public Utilities Committee. The reports of the Fire l~arsh~l, Health officer,Recorder,Treasurer, City ~arshal and ~ity Clerk were then read. The City Clerk's report showed the following hals. ness in the various funds, Gen. fund $~68~.73,Library fund, ~64~.~8,Sinking fund for sewers,$106.20,F~ct Dist. Sewer fund,S§790.39 "1919 Bond~",$9888.02, Street Bonds, Ser. "A"16 10, Ser "B" $15.?0 Ser "C" ~37 21 Set "D" ~48.66 Ser. "E" ~16 86, Ser "F" (Owe gen fund $17Z 23) Set "G' $54~.~2. Total b~lsnce in all funds $2~490.96. Amongst the receipts for the month were $371.29 from the ~ac. Tel & Tel Co, a percentage of their gross receipts, under the provisions of Ordinance ~83. On motion of Trustee Sc~mpini seconded by Trustee Hardy and regularly c~rried all reports were accepted as read. City Engineer Kneese was instructed to preoare plans ~nd. specifications for the completion of the Factory District sewer system that bids for the same might be opened at the e~rliest possible d~te. There being no further business before the Boerd Trustee Scsmpini moved to adjourn until Thursd~y evening ~eptember the 8th, at H~rdy and regularly carried.
