CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL
856 AS THE ORGANIZATION REPRESENTING THE MID-
MANAGEMENT BARGAINING UNIT EFFECTIVE
SEPTEMBER 8, 2014
WHEREAS, a representation election was conducted by the State Mediation Conciliation
Service and certified that the Mid-management bargaining unit elected the Teamsters Local 856
to represent the bargaining unit on all matters of employer-employee relations within the scope
of representation; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 3.08.140 states that action by the City Council designating
the representation shall be by resolution; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby recognizes Teamsters Local 856 as the representatives of
the Mid-Management bargaining unit..
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of
October, 2014 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Pradeep Gupta, and Liza Normandy
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Karyl Matsumoto
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
